While there's no denying the spell is mechanically beefy with GSF Transmutation there's still some fun I think that could be had. Maybe a random VFX effect to give it a more "Curse" vibe?
A random outcome of like-
- Flies and boils until curse is removed
- A short term having a Changeling style Tail until curse is removed
- A dramatic Increase of Planar Sickness
- An increase or decrease to their size
- Increased chance of animals attacking them.
- Increased chance of Lightning Bolt Strikes.
- Randomly spouting scripted phrases out of character for them or gibberish.
Random, temporary mutations...
or permanent, until the curse is removed...
And player cast curses persist across resets and can only be removed by an equal or higher level caster...
Yes pls...
I love things that seem like it COULD be just a coincidence, bad luck...
In that vein :
-Increased chance of attracting magic eaters when casting in the appropriate seams.
-Increased chance of Bad Stuff when failing a crafting check.
I guess different SF could bring different extra effects, flavorful and the like. For instance,
GSF Enchantment makes your target DC unpredictable, fluctuating
GSF Evocation against a spell caster would force wild magic effects upon the enemy. Every time they cast something there's a risk of some fireball or other random element
GSF Necromancy brings up temp effects related to some stages of withering... With green glowing an rotting of the skin
GSF Abjuration makes the PC reject potions. Random lights coming from them each time they drink one
GSF Transmutation decreases the size of the PC
