Magic eaters seem to spawn at really odd places, where I think they should not. A few examples would be in the tavern at Loblobliiiblop or in the steam vent quest in the wormpits.
Not sure if it's intentional, but it seems like a bug!
They spawn wherever, in most places that aren't 'protected'. So, Adjurer's Nightshade is essential
Many UD civilizations are capable of warding areas against them, so for example it's a bug they spawn in Lollipop Island.
Fixed.
Magic eaters can be little anoying
Good day. Few last days, magic eaters spawned, every seccond or third attempt for spells casted by my character Arwandill Llewyrion-Sil. (This character is forced to live in Lower) It is on 8th lv and can´t earn so much gold to buy nightshade, magic eaters spawned numerous: 2, 2, 1, 6 (including some strengthened form) This last case is instant death for lone wizard or sorceror I think (AB 8+ and hurt really badly) and character had killed from them. They have seen me trough improved invisibility. I am not sure if is it goal to make spellcasting more dangerous, or if thats was some bugg, or it is only accident. Magic eaters spawned: Lower town, under pump housse, old canal (Spawn point near barge). Really appologize for my terible English.
Their frequency of spawning is highly randomized and dependent upon seasonal factors. And I'm afraid the areas you mentioned aren't warded against them :-(
I see, I must collect more abjurer´s nightshade then, but it is realy hard to get, for lower folk and without this you can´t cast spells. It is too risky. 6 magic eaters includding some medium can kill group of adventurers. No matter, if you know possibilities, you can make preparation. Thanks for response.
