Dear Echemmon Telemanus,
I took gravely ill after our meeting last night. I shall not get into excessive details. I recovered only after the election had commenced, and by the time I had worked to draft our list, Geiger had announced his endorsement. As I attempted to hunt him down to speak, a trial was declared. I was called as Advocate.
I apologize for this disservice, I should have been better and moved faster. I shall attempt to whip any votes which I may, so that we might not walk in disgrace.
I have the honor to be your obedient servant,
Domhnall Judicael Guivarch
[ A response, penned in a hand clearly unused to writing. ]
Neither the dinn dinars of the Gold nor the friends of the Purple were on our side. It only matters that we fought the battle, for to give up hope is to give up the fight. You did what you could, and I am pru proud to have had you at my side.
Hold your head high,
