First Lesson: Acceptance

When misfortune strikes- stealing away that which you treasure or that you have toiled long for, do not curse the heavens. Do not cling to the memory of what has been lost nor lament the things you did not yet do. Instead, accept that it is gone and move forward. Learn from that loss and improve yourself with it.

Misfortune teaches us that there is nothing that will last forever. There is nothing that cannot be suddenly stolen away-- So treasure each moment, spend each dinar; Live while you can.
