Dear Argent/Boss/Dragon
I have continued my works as your Magistrste making good deals and heavily promoting the gold league to even getting white league members to leave and join our league. However your people wait upon results. I have heard news of how the assembly was a pointless waste of time tabling the purple agenda of Rennik.
People that matter also known as tbr voiced voted for legal reforms and a truly gold league well. They have not seen much in change. I say it is time to make some serious changes to the monstrosity known as the penal code. Make capital theft or destruction 10,000 Dinar, abolish the wage for Magistrates. Magistrates should be paid during a trial. Quite simply charge an entrance fee to watch trials something small like 50 dinar. Let that be the salary of the magistrate. It is a waste of money for me to be paid a salary out of the state.

Magistrate,
We are currently finalizing the initial reforms promised by my Co-Legate. You can expect them to be published within the week. As for the Assembly; the thrust for conscription actually emerged from me. I have long-terms plans in mind to make it a worthwhile maneuver.
Your Magistrate's wage has been slashed to the lowest possible margin; if we remove the wage entirely, it will cause systemic issues.
An entrance fee for trial gawking sounds like a fine idea. Fifty dinar to start, more than enough for any of the commons to afford.
Let's make it so.
-Argent,
LEGATE,

It has been many a day thus far nothing has been finalized. The Taxes are also far too high. The price of a Voice remains so low the annoying dweeb sister who sneezes was able to cough up 5000 dinars. The Allotment for the legion should be zero unless the Bey is willing to appoint a true goon of the gold league to be Sergeant rather than making you and Balstan suffer his current crop of dweebs.
-Bruce Shank Em Danebluff
Magistrate,
It's not the Second Seat which is keeping you from adjusting these taxes or raising the price of the Voice.
Write to Balstan, accrue signatures, make your case.

Screw that dwarf. I have already begun making appeals to others in our league. I will run against him in the primary and I will win this election.
-Bruce Shank Em Danebluff
See to it the Legion gets zero dinar unless the Sultan or another important person from Bazeel says otherwise. Their open disrespect towards your administration cannot be abide by. Heed not the words of purerly Colmes or the other legate. Shank the legion allotment
-Shank Em
Mr. Danebluff,
It was a bold political dream you had. Alas, certain debts have been called in. I'll see about appointing you somewhere you can make some dinari. I have just the idea.
Come find me soon.
-Argent,
Legate,
DRAGON
Understood politics is a quite a game I lack the hand for. I am looking forward to hearing more from you. As I have said the position of Magistrate means very little with a legion incapable of making arrests or prosecuting even the most blatant of crimes. I look forward to hearing more opprutunities and further work. I also would have appreciated a heads up to not running against Balstan.
I must say the amount of his and even your political enemies that have come forward to court my vote and making outrageous offers has been amusing.

You will be delighted to know that Marcellus right after being sworn in claimed he sees himself being blocked by you and that you need to be removed. He began discussing options to those present. Aubrey was harping that something needs to be done. Dauod claiming a lack of evidence for the process of an inquisitor. The Astronomers sprouted their rhetoric. Marcellus was having a heart attack at the damage done to the treasury essentially it was a debate between a crowd of "Treason, Theft, Dessecration." (There was an attempt made by the Harkem of the Wheel that she had the right to prosecute and judge for any acts she deems to be a desecration.)
Marcellus was also trying to see the Gold League should opt to replace you with a prelate. It is an unbecoming first display pon being sworn in and what you are up against. Gedwyr as a prelate is a very fine choice for whatever comes.
-Bruce
Bruce,
I hope this letter finds you well! Please remind my Co-Legate that altering any of my edicts, titles, or actions -- or attempting to have me usurped -- would be an act of genuine treason against Baz'eel and the Sultan would be informed.
There is no legal recourse to removing me. I have not committed treason, or embezzlement, desecration, murder or any of these other crimes. I am the guest of one of the Directors and Comptrollers of the League of Gold (Director Ariette Gildebrand, if you must know) while on my stay here, so they will not be keen on removing me I think.
I am perfectly within my rights to exile any individual I please under suspicion of murder. A Scribe exiled Arjuna, Skatterhawk of the Rossa, etc without trial once before - so why precisely is it a Legate cannot?
Do the people in the Well not realize that the Legate is the prevailing authority of the Sultan? Yes, the Accord may unseat me - the Accord entire, that is. Last I checked, Elizabetha d'Auvergne opted instead to bow.
So without the League of Gold, without Sorazin Bey, without Grandmaster d'Auvergne, and without Q'tolip... what is it they plan to do exactly?
Concoct a new crime and engage in the corruption they claim I am the enabler of?
Embarrassing. Do better, Ephians.
-Argent,
Legate,

Your co-Legate Marcellus cares deeply about the state of the Well's near empty treasury. I believe your I have suggested to him that the government should consider taking out a loan from the Mezzizeni family a wealthy family of Il Modo keen on sound investments such as the Banda Rossa. I believe the Well would benefit greatly from one of his loans and unlike an individual a pyramid cannot just run away from a loan. Ephia's Well has much in collateral to offer in such a loan. Collateral so decent that a lender may even prefer the recipient of said loan default on it.
I request you send me one letter granting me your authorization as Legate for Ephia's Well to secure a loan from Mezzizeni and authorization for whatever collateral is necessary to fulfill such a loan. Send another of these letters to your co-legate Marcellus. Let us keep these good wages, good times and low taxes going for as long as possible. I must strictly say the debt isn't owed by the sitting Legates but all future occupants of the Pyramid. It enables a Dragon to extract more money from the treasury taking money from his successors.
-Bruce
Dear Argent
Marcellus wishes for a delegation to Il Modo to sell off the waters. He intends to try and gain the approval of Gedwyr. This trade delegation is not from a position of strength but a position of weakness as Marcellus has announced very publicly how decimated the treasury is. Such a move favors the buyer in a trade deal and not the seller. Every delegation to Il Modo has been done by total fools. The last time a delegation went to Il Modo Balstan and Marcellus gave those fools a large number of Barrels just to show up at Kardesler.
The Banda Rossa is not without its resources or connections in Il Modo. We are capable of the best deal for Ephia's well. The Gold League should not yield to another trip to Il Modo to make a fool of the Well. But I propose something better. Profits to be made from this trip. A contract granting the Banda Rossa a sales commission of 30%. A percentage of this commission would of course go to you. Balistiere Rousseau would be able to negotiate a deal. With the aid of our contacts it would be the best one in a while.
-Bruce
Gedwyr had a meeting with Marcellus and some form of compromise was worked out reducing the generouse wages you have set. I hope the gold league gained something out of the wishes of Marcellus.
-Bruce
Bruce,
I have been rather busy sunning with our comptrollers and have been overlooking my letters.
I understand excess wages to be a problem. Alongside her stipend from Baz'eel, the Deputy Chief Scribe has been collecting double wages through her Stele title and her scribe commission.
Please ensure her title is removed and her wages slashed. She has been at this theft for longer than I have been a Legate.
If this is not done then I will be promptly restoring all titles and wages on my return.
I also understand that Balstan signed away some of the District land to the Priory in his last hours in office, assuming he had my assent.
This land is specifically to be leased to the Priory from Ephias Well at a price of 12000 dinari per installment beginning this month. Please ensure they pay their rent to the government promptly.
Let Gedwyr know my will and see it done, I trust the both of you explicitly.

There has been a development Yiti is running to be a candidate league of white.

Argent can be seen reading the latest letter over and over again and cackling as he paces around the Pyramid and the Plaza...
The Vanguard has rejoined the gold league the issue is sorted.
