This unique slobber bound book boasts a charmingly rugged exterior, bearing the marks of a playful pup's enthusiastic curiosity. With every lovingly gnawed corner and affectionate tooth mark, this journal tells a story of companionship and loyalty. The handwriting is simple that of a common man.
I heard about a 800 coin joining fee to join the army. Aint never seen that much coin in my life so I am gonna make my way to the big city... Its near Bazeel and over there the streets are paved with gold so I am gonna kill two birds with one stone and get me a job. I just got a new dog to see me through to the Well.

Been a rough couple of days had to bury a few hounds - lucky their be alot of strays kicking about the sands here. I have had to carve three marks into my bracer in their honour so here goes.
Duke - Made it all the way to the Well but got confused in the Gutter an' ran into a blast of flames.
Vale Duke.
Duke the Second - Found a dog that looked exactly the same as Duke so in Duke's honour named it Duke the Second. Unfortunately Duke lasted only a few hours after a crocodile bit his head clean off.
Vale Duke the Second.
Unnamed Puppy - Feeling a bit disheartened I couldnt bring myself to name this hound. This dog was around when I got given a job with the town guard the Janissaries. We were on our first patrol and went to investigate the Gutters. A bunch of losers living in the gutters skewered the puppy with their spears.
Vale Unnamed Puppy.
Maybe I aint a gooder dog handler as I once thought? Hopefully number Four lasts a bit longer. I will head out into the sands or the souk and get another companion... But what will I name it?
