I am writing to request some information regarding the current operations of the quarry under your management. This information will be valuable for appraising your site's capacity and any operational constraints that may be affecting productivity, as they are related to possible future investment.

Operational Appraisal
I am seeking the following details:
  • The number of workers currently employed at the site;
  • The average monthly stone yield;
  • Any internal or external challenges that have impacted, or are currently impacting, operational efficiency.

Sales Contact
Additionally, I would appreciate a referral to the individual responsible for overseeing the sale of the quarry's stone output, should that not fall under your purview.

In response to your questions:

1. At last count, we have around forty workers fit and able.
2. On average, a skilled worker can extract around 0.5 cubic metres of usable stone per month.
3. Unfortunately, the war has made the workers fat and lazy. In most recent months, they have often refused to work at all, despite the fine and full bellies and coins they are provided! These strikers are a foul and degenerate sickness...
