To the Janissaries of the Fourth Legion,
On Illul 18th, IY 7789, an attempt was made upon my life. I had just left the walls of the Well to perform some boardwork when a bellow rung out stating that I had been killed. We returned back to resolve this confusion, I made a bellow from the Krak des Roses asking for whom made the bellow to state where they are.
Seconds later, I was attacked by a man wielding a short blade and dressed mostly in black. This person was only able to land glancing blows upon me but he, equally, was fairly deft at avoiding my hammer. Those traveling with me aided in running the man off whom escaped by blending into the shadows.
Someone mentioned that the man fit the description of the "Ladder Mafia assasin" whom attacked Orin Vossar a few hours earlier. Why the Ladder Mafia has an interest in me I cannot discern other than I spoke with Orin for some time trying to determine as much as I could about whom assaulted him.
