Title: [A Letter to the Sisterhood of the Sibylline Vine]
Post by: Loops on August 02, 2025, 07:34:26 PM
Dear and beloved Sisters,

It is with a hopeful heart that I write to you as my first letter of business conducted as Lyrist on behalf of the Grandmaster Elizabetha d'Auvergne. I have been honoured with her trust, and I intend to direct our College toward grace and honour.

You will know well the restrictions placed upon rites between our College and your Priory. It is my intent to see if a resolution can be reached that permits our Balladeers and students to be allowed the guidance and support that your own offered to me in my darkest hours.

Though I have not yet made a decision by which I shall with pen compose this arbitration, I would like to formally enquire with you whether there is a willingness to return to the practice of offering Cupbearers from your number to our accomplished Balladeers. They have, in times past, acted as the hearts and guides of our rosy cohort, and I confess true that I would not be here today without their support.

You would do me the highest esteem to grace me with an answer as to whether the Sisterhood approves the return of this practice and, if so, provides me with a list of willing Acolytes who will graciously tend to our Balladeers, and Sisters who shall stride beside our Lyrists, in the days that come, so that I may consider the matter in fullness. Your suggestion for each pairing will be insightful.

Know that my thoughts are with you, and I shall await your answer with bated breath.

Never shall we wilt,

Aeronwy Caddick
Lyrist of the Lost Hearth

Beloved Lyrist Aeronwy Caddick,

We are most glad to receive your letter. The Sibylline Sisterhood is overjoyed at the possibility of this practice's return, and we are indeed gladly willing. You will find attached to this letter an initial list of suggested arrangements between a handful of Balladeers and Acolytes (including all currently volunteering Acolytes!) I would enjoy finding the time to discuss this list with you in person and exchange ideas with regard to this matter. If there's any other ways we can be of assistance please don't hesitate to let us know! It is our hope that we'll always be here for the College.

Sister Selsi

p.s. congratulations, again!
