Title: [Scribes of the Sublime Garden]
Post by: Pandip on August 15, 2025, 10:23:49 PM
Scribes,

I am making a formal inquest on behalf of the Grandmaster Elizabetha d'Auvergne,

Considering the dire nature of the accusations and the resulting devastation to our citadel, The Cinquefoil Rose would like to remain informed of the reparations paid by those found guilty for the Illul Massacre.

Kindly forward or make available any updates on the guilty's progress over the coming weeks.

Rise with the dawn, Lyrist Aubrey Domergue.

Your request is received and acknowledged by the Office of the Scribes of the Sublime Garden.

This is the process as follows:

- The accused are Nadiri Eva Keter, Sergeant Hanson Gilbracht, Apothar Shum Sheroy (demotion pending) and Soldier Armin Albertos.

- The accused are to pay 41,833 dinari in fines, before the dawn of the 10th of Iyar 7790 IY, giving them six months to complete their legal obligations. The percentages are as follows:

By the 10th of Tesrin Hray, each accused must have paid 6.972 dinar.
By the 10th of Kanön Hray, each accused must have paid 13.944 dinar.
By the 10th of Subat, each accused must have paid 20.916 dinar.
By the 10th of Adar, each accused must have paid 27.888 dinar.
By the 10th of Nisah, each accused must have paid 34.860 dinar.
(Sum is open to reduction, following acts of heroism or service against the Tormented incursion, as weighed by the Legates.)

Penalty to fulfill their legal obligations will result in exile.

- These funds are to be processed in the State Treasury by the Scribes of the Sublime Garden and documented, by decree of the Legates.

Please expect a letter by the 10th of next month, in confirmation of these processes. I will continue to keep you appraised until such a time I am commanded to do otherwise, or circumstances have changed, of which you will be informed.

For all questions, concerns and instructions, please send a letter to the Office of the Scribes of the Sublime Garden, Floor 4, the Palatial Pyramid.

Scribe Amani al-Ibrahim.

Amani,

I am very appreciative for your timely work.

We still need to meet these comings days; my schedule has not been permissive until later in the evening. Nonetheless, there are many stories to be shared about the late Lynneth Llywarch.

Scribes,

I should like an update as to the debt totals.

What will the state be doing about those in dereliction of their obligations by Kanön Hray 10th?

Scribes,

The day has come due and so have the debts to the People.

I am sending another formal request for this information, that we might ensure this matter is tackled.

Scribes,

I have been patient.

You have likely heard my pronouncements over the bellows.

If payments were made prior to Kanon Hray 10th, it would behoove you to convey them promptly in writing.

Lyrist

We Scribes are burdened with a great many duties and obligations that require our attention.

Providing you detailed accounts on a jurisprudence matter you are, formally, entirely irrelevant to having no connection to Governance, Jurisprudence, or Law Enforcement at request is neither a duty nor an obligation.

It was provided previously when the Scribes found themselves with an abundance of free time due to active efforts by sitting Legates to exclude them from night to night operations. A circumstance that is now thankfully abated. It was also at the Initiative of a single, extremely dilligent scribe who was tragically killed in the Rose led Hufaidh incident.

Many would consider it unbecoming for a person to be given a charitable gift of knowledge and then henceforth treat it as something they are obliged to after getting the one who provided it killed.

Rest assured, those involved with and relevant to the matter at hand are kept up to date. Interested external parties and their requests must simply be weighed in their priority and charity (or lack thereof) against the growing weight of matters of infrastructure, diplomacy, construction, and other elements of statecraft and then dealt with according to that level of priority.

It may behoove to stay your hand from making sweeping proclamations of Exile and other matters of law upon which the Rose holds no authority. You are free to ban them from your Krak as you so wish.

Live and Drink

- Deputy Chief Scribe al-Samar
