As I've not been able to reach you since I've read through some old reports regarding this whole Djinn march please find details below:
Over two years ago, this Djinn matter first came about by a cursed man, who belonged to the Balladeers, Alfred Delafossa. He was later cast out of their order as a brooker and he is the one responsible for this Djinn that is currently imprisoned, having formed a pact with it.
At the time Amelie Terrois, as we now know as Sister Amelie, was deeply involved in the individual and eventual imprisonment of the Djinn. She was suspected to be a brooker as well at the time and was cast out of the Sisterhood. She was haunted by this Djinn of Earth and Flesh and the spawn of such seemed to follow in her wake. It got so bad that she had to leave Ephia's Well.
It was her who came up with the plan to imprison the Djinn in an urn and cast it into the Volcano on Huifadh. It should be noted at the time an Apothar Meruva recommended that this Alfred Delafossa were captured and executed for his crimes which should bring about the end of the Djinns link to our realm. However for whatever reason it was deemed they would try to imprison it in this urn. Alfred himself imposed a self exile on himself and wasn't seen again by anyone apart from Amelie who at a later point attempting to free him on his curse and reported his death, though nobody was able to confirm this.
The urn that was made was made by an alchemist guild lead by a Gers Geiger, who was at some point murdered and suspected to be a brooker and necromancer. A concerning prospect if it was he who crafted this prison.
When it came to the fateful day of the imprisonment of the Djinn, the group that set out were constantly assaulted by Djinn spawn, clearly the Djinn was trying to stop them. Some of their group were drawn into the urn itself during this journey, said to have gone into a deep slumber. Reports also tell that the master of the urn (the djinn) was impervious to harm and the only way that anyone was able to escape from it (some of which died inside) was by Brooking with the djinn. Another Balladeer, Velan Voldanis was one who went inside and was later executed having been found being pacted to the djinn. The reports say that the Djinn had bonded with the man Alfred Delafossa but also that it was slain, which obviously can't be true now knowing what we know. It also brings into question the report given by Amelie that Alfred was slain during a ritual to try and save him from his curse.
All of those who entered the urn were reported to have been left with some mark, a tome of flesh "Jinn in Origin" - many of those who entered were deemed to have destroyed their tomes with the exception of Velan Voldanis. Though clearly everyone was affected in some way. Those involved were:

Many of which are now dead, Amelie being one of the few survivors.
Clearly the Rose was deeply involved in the prior event regarding this Djinn and now they seek to remedy a problem they created to begin with. Though there is some concern around this Amelie and if she has bee afflicted by the Djinn or has other motives regarding this march.
I spoke with Onion who claims this is purely a task born from herself and Aurelio however, based on Amelies bellows yesterday its clear she is pulling the strings to some extent. Onion seems to think Aurelio is the only one who can harm this Djinn with his compass blade, so this entire expedition is being based on his success. Without such they are doomed to fail and will almost certainly bring calamity upon us and all those who march.
Do with this information what you will, however I am concerned based on the information I have heard, and It wouldn't surprise me if this Amelie is afflicted by the Djinn and this has been a long time planned to release to Djinn. Given that the rose have taken charge of this and been very secretive about aspects of it, I suspect at the very least something else is at play.

Seems like the Rose fucked up as anticipated and nobody knows what happened to Amelie. The Djinn is released and some people speaking of a minor victory of saving some birds... Mark my words, this was planned, willingly or unwillingly those who have orchestrated this have done the work of the Djinn.
