Sister Amélie, originally Amélie Terrois, was an archdruid and a Sister of the Sibylline Vine.
She thought of herself as a preacher, a poet, a would-be knight (for a time), an inspiration to her allies, a menace to her enemies, and a survivor in a world that teeters on the verge of death.
She was wholly devoted to the Cinquefoil Quest, which she described as the search for the Pilgrim, and originally viewed it as a way to give meaning to the sacrifice of the outer rings. Out of Ash and ruin would come the salvation of the world: "There shall be a Pilgrim, who in piety and virtue shall realize the Chalice, from which shall flow waters and life to rejuvenate the world."
Her religious doctrine was a blend of Chalice-oriented grail mysticism overlaid onto Kulamet beliefs. She strove to embody her self-appointed role as "Speaker" for Kula, and every single one of her sermons--she gave over 50 of them--was originally written in verse. She held funerals, supported the Wheel convocatiosn through all of their iterations, and helped numerous PCs refine their own faiths.
She favored iambic tetrameter in her poems, eight syllables to match the eight wholesome spokes of the Wheel, but the meter and complexity of her work improved over time. Her poems were used in innumerable rituals as well, portending great visions, and imparting glimpses of the Garden to other players through strange and esoteric rites. You can even find a few of them in game in various places!
On rites and intrigue, much of her work within the Sisters would involve very heavy spoilers if I were to reveal it, so I won't. It is enough to say that she was involved with and instrumental in a number of major plots that affected the course of the Well's history. A few characters outside the Sisters have seen something of the intrigues that she was involved in. I strongly recommend the Sisters as a faction and for all the characters you will meet within.
She was ultimately a joy to play, though at times challenging to get inside her head. Her chief character flaw was pride, and it got her into a lot of trouble over the years. I hope this came through in her portrayal.
She saw the Red Hill, the entire Arslan campaign, the War against Iakmes, and Bet Nappahi, to name just a few. Funny how things come full circle. In any event, I hope you enjoyed your interactions with her, just as I enjoyed all of the incredible variation in the characters I met.

Amelie was a major shaping force on just about every character I've played this chapter. It's difficult to think of any characters who can even come close to being as impactful as she was across the entire server. You wrote a masterpiece of a story, and I wish more of EFU's players could have seen all of it. The tales told to come on EFU will be immeasurably less without her presence. Don't get me started on the incredible poetry and record-keeping of major setting events either, or the incredible representation of the Wheel faith that consistently contributed to making it feel "real." And that's not even beginning to touch on [REDACTED]

I got a lot of envy for people who can play such creative pcs who have such strong characterization and a sense of poise about them, even in the small talks. She was an iconic Sisterhood character who I enjoyed talking to throughout my pretty small number of characters this chapter.
Great job, you've definitely left an incredible mark on the chapter and I'm sure her legacy will live on in stories and plotlines for a very long time.
Amélie was instrumental in contributing to the Sisterhood and its vibes. I genuinely would have no idea how to do any of the rituals without her guidance and her writings, and I think her verses have been recited so many times over the months that some parts of it are memorized. I certainly memorized her 'é' being alt-0233 after all these months and I feel like that trivia is going to be etched into my noggins for at least a decade...
My point is - you are a god, man, and I always feel awed by the consistency and quality of your RP when I am in your presence.
I think a fair bit of what you wrote on Amélie for the Sisterhood is going to be relevant and continue to guide PCs in the faction until the chapter's end, and I honestly can't imagine a higher praise than that. Absolutely foundational.

Amelie is one of the main reasons I've stayed on EFU. From my first interactions with her on Hieronymo to being one of the primary reasons I made my Acolyte, every scene with her was something that I (nervously) sought after and greatly enjoyed. Though I only saw very little of Amelie's story, what parts I did get to be a part of were some of the best writing and storytelling I have had across thousands of hours of NWN and other roleplay mediums. She was very intimidating, in a good way, because it made me want to write better and better every time.
It is incredibly heartbreaking to lose such an absolutely phenomenal character.

Joking aside Amelie was cool and a pc that I had little interactions with here and there and I wish I interacted more. She was one of the few PCs to skirt past my characters eye and that honestly made me respect her even more than I already did
Sister Amelie was an incredible character and an absolute joy to interact with. She was fundamental in getting Yogi to be nominated as the Hakem, made a citizen, and delving into the surface of intrigues.

Likely the best druid we've had in the history of the server.
As someone whose early EFU experiences in EFU:A and EFU:M were characterized by an obsession with nature-themed characters and druidic vibes, I could never quite find the right tone for a druid in subsequent chapters. But Amelie's ability to embody all the mysticism and esoterica and beautiful strangeness was a joy to witness.
The way she navigated being a druid and a storyteller and a bard and a priestess and knight (what a lovely and subtle side of her we rarely got to see!) was so stellar. There was so much to Amelie and in spite of that, she was so consistent -- always alive with the complexities of a real person while staying true to her foundational characteristics.
Every interaction between Aubrey and Amelie was a delight. I spent way too many nights staying up far, far too late just for the opportunity to enjoy another interaction with her. I craved all of their talks and witticisms and philosophical chats and sometimes intricate games. And, truly, I cannot express how much that letter meant to me at the time it was written.
This is one of those character deaths that feels as devastating OOC as it does IC. It's really hard to overstate how much emptier the world is going to feel without her.
I really loved Amelie and I'm immensely glad you're a part of our community.

And to address a question I got a few times on Discord, Chat GPT and AI generally were not involved in any way in writing Amélie's poems. I wrote them all myself the old fashioned way (in Notepad++).
Sister Ameliè was the character I looked up to. Whenever I saw her, I thought: I want to be like her.
She was an inspiration. The vast levels of creativity that came from you was outstanding. Im sad to hear and see that shes gone. She was one of the best.

I saw her over so many characters doing so many things in so many places. Wandering here and there and leaving a mark on literally everything you could imagine. The amount of effort and investment into the character was staggering, overwhelming even, and I can't help but be envious of it and hope to be better for witnessing it someday.
from getting gaslit read prophecy on Salvatore, to shooting barbed poetry and having an amusing rivalry on Ash-talker, Amelie was always delightful to interact with! i hope you end up getting back into the swing of things quick - i'm sure the next one'll be awesome too.

She just oozed character from the start and always was so consistently portrayed, so the work in building up that characterization absolutely paid off
I loved her poems and I loved chance encounters between her and Estellise and I adored the relationship they built up, alongside all the chaos of the Priory-Tower relations
