I think that summons should follow you when you make a successful climbing. Sometimes you're in mid combat or are ambushed and the command /c recall won't answer.
Never mind
Some transitions are broken too, not allowing the summons to follow you without a recall. This is true at least for the levels of the Lower Fortress and for the transition that leads to the Low Caves (coming from them is no issue, but at heading to them the summons won't follow).
It might seem a minor issue, but it is not. It has cost me a lot in PvP not being able to have my summons defending me after I transitioned or climbed a cliff and I'm still being attacked.
It's how nwn works with creatures. It's why we got recall. You simply need to find a way to adjust. This is not something we can easily change.
Recall doesn't work during battle and it's exactly the thing that is bothering me. The climbing cliffs is something we created, I thought that it could be added to following companions.
Also, I would like to emphasize the trouble with the two transitions that aren't handling them as the others do.
Last but not least: using ropes to climb will bring your summons to bellow you but not to your side, for some strange reason.
Again, I repeat, it's just how nwn works. It's not our making.
Recall is limited on purpose for a good reason to avoid exploitable situations. This is something folks have lived with and I fear, they still must just live with. Many have done fine with it so far. You just have to acknowledge the weaknesses of particular aspects and play in way that does not put you in such situations if possible.
REGROUP SPELL, works wonders I hear??
You obviously never tried it and heard it wrong. Regroup Spell is bugged... and it's not available until late.
