Title: Animal Companions and Summons
Post by: Nightshadow on March 06, 2009, 04:01:05 PM
Last time I checked, many of the animal companions, as well as a few summons, have ranks/bonuses in hide/move silently, yet there is no way (to my knowledge) of putting them into stealth mode. If it's possible to make one, a player tool/chat command that puts animal companions/summons in stealth mode would be a great help, as it sucks that familiars can go into stealth mode yet our panthers and stuff can't.

Seconded! Even if I don't ever play characters with animal companions, it just seems like a waste to have an animal companion with hide and move silently points. >_>

So, yeah.. Seconded!

Yeah...fer the love of god, please add this! It's sorta goofy having a sneaky animal companion that can't sneak!

I believe (though I am not sure) that when you have a summon/familiar/companion selected with the 'Control Companion' player tool, and use it on them a second time, it unsummons them. My recent character, Nalzelri Fireblood, used a lot of fire elemental summons, and I think this may have caused a few of them to be prematurely unsummoned. Perhaps you could change this method of unsummoning them to putting summons/familiars/companions in stealth mode?

This has been on our wish list for three years.

Would it be possible to modify the mount script for henchmen to make them stealth instead?

...Why not treat animal companions as Familiars and possess them to fire the stealth script?

Oh. I just found out about player tools! Perfect candidate for this.

Maybe make a new tool to put things in stealth, or rework the current companion control tool so that it stealths the companion when you click on your portrait :-)

It's really easy and I'll make this the next time I get he mod.

Going to be a voice command:

/c stealth a

/c stealth h

/c stealth f

...

/c detect a

/c detect h

and so on.

Added an ability for familiar, animal companion and henchmen to be put on detect or stealth mode.

Not for summons (with the multiple summons, it gets a bit messy!)

Commands are:

/c stealth f
/c stealth a
/c stealth h

/c detect f
/c detect a
/c detect h

Enjoy
