[tface=Fell]Team Halfling[/tface]

Halflings are my favorite race, Forgotten Realms wise, and here on EFU they are well represented in terms of a wide variety of alignments, personalities, and goals.

They have a lot (//%22http://www.nj-pbem.com/data/Gods/halflingods/Brandobaris.htm%22) of the best (//%22http://www.nj-pbem.com/data/Gods/halflingods/Urogalan.htm%22) deities (//%22http://www.nj-pbem.com/data/Gods/halflingods/Yondalla.htm%22), with tons of room for concepts and open interpretation to spring forth from their own dogmas and portfolios.

They have really cool lore in general that's often overlooked. Here's some resources:

- Campaign Setting (//%22http://www.scribd.com/doc/84565007/Forgotten-Realms-Campaign-Setting%22) (Pages 17, 195.)
- Detailed information on the Halfling Pantheon. (//%22http://www.nj-pbem.com/data/Gods/halflingods/HalflingGods.htm%22) (Not all of this might be cannon for EFU, but it gives you a lot of ideas and stuff to go off of.)

Furthermore there are fringe benefits to playing a halfling. First of all, there's niches for you to fit in anywhere in the server that you want to play. Along with this comes the fact that as one of the more populous races on EFU, no matter where you wind up going you'll likely find allies and friends.

I intend to be running regular recurring gatherings and feasts (//%22http://www.efupw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91261%22) (moots) and stuff along those lines and my current character's own goals involve creating a real sense of unity and community among the hin, so there's no better time to get involved then right now.

If you play a current halfling, or you intend to roll up a new one and have questions, join #shortstacks on IRC.

Most scrappers are hin, but most hin aren't scrappers.

I can certify that there are some truly excellent halfling PCs rolling around! I highly commend getting involved with them if you have the chance.

The Halfling community is starting to get quite significant and I think that, quite soon, things are going to happen which will change up the game around us. If you've been thinking of joining the smallfolk then now is the ideal time.

There's loads of ways you can interpret a hin concept; they're versatile enough to have a solid justification to pursue almost any alignment. Though most halflings tend to lean towards the good alignment there are a lot of powerful, intimidating and even tragic possibilities for evil halflings. If you want to play a villainous halfling but can't find the inspiration then send me a message on IRC; I've a great idea for one that I don't have the luxury of implementing right now.

We've had halflings all over the place - they're just as varied in their nature as humans. We've got a director halfling, mausoleum halflings, druidic halflings and we've even had watcher halflings in the past. Maybe an auxiliary or an ordinant could be your in to join the smallfolk - I haven't seen either of those done yet by my memory.

Join team hin! It's definitely, in my opinion, one of the best communities going in efu right now so get your midget while it's hot.
