In his dialogue are two options. One to show your red eagle badge, another a black raven badge. My character did not have a black raven badge yet the choice presented itself. Despite Simsam reacting positively to the black badge his prices were higher when using the black badge over the red badge.
OK I fixed this. I'm no stranger to cleaning up the bugs left over by retired DMs :-(
