Title: Call lightning
Post by: Letsplayforfun on March 28, 2009, 08:43:54 PM
I understand it's been tweaked to be more realistic, but it deprives druids of their best (only) offensive spells. Could it at least be made to work as summon boulders in interior (as it was, unless i'm wrong, in UD), if not simply turned back to normal.

Since druids can't summon clouds or change the weather to suit this spell, it's kinda sad not to be able to use it more.

On a side note, i was doing harpies (exterior?), and it was raining by the quest giver, but not in the QA, so the spell didn't work. i'm not good at weather effects, but shouldn't it be the same in exterior areas, be it normal or QA?

I disagree. Druids now have arguably the most powerful offensive spell available.

This sounds more like a bug than a suggestion. We'll look into it though!

The Harpy Island is fairly far away from the quest giver - it's a separate island reachable by boat.

Quote from: "Howland"EFU Weather: Escaped from the Underdark incorporates an advanced, custom weather system. Weather is consistent through areas that are geographically located close to each other, and has a large impact on a variety of factors. Certain kinds of characters can even, with difficulty, learn how to control the weather or use it as a weapon.

EDIT: Druids also have amazing offensive spells. Damage doesn't mean everything. When you can fire off hasted INfestation of maggots + multiple Poison/Quillfires, You can pretty much drain a person to death in a few seconds with the ability loss.

Indeed. The druids may lack a few options when it comes to instant damage around the low-mid levels, but they have more offensive spells than a cleric (less so than a wizard), and also have a number of ways to incapacitate foes. Grease, followed by entangle and spike grown, can leave several creatures immobilized and incapacitated if done right. The druids are perhaps masters of offensive magic of an indirect nature. Their spells are a unique blend, to say the least.

Which many clerics and wizards are lacking. :)

While we're on the topic, since I can't post in the announcement's forum, what has the damage been increased to?
