Did "Here be Spiders"... half way through we got the quest complete message pop up and when completed the quest no gold and all the potions were gone.
We strongly suspect that someone had been part of a previous group, logged back in as we were doing the quest and ran through the end section grabbing the gold and potions before finishing it up.
That is doable on this quest as there is no "boss" you just need to enter the final area.
Can this quest have a "final" boss included to avoid this error/abuse?
I don't think this can be fixed, as a boss has nothing to do with getting your loot stolen by a guy who logged out. But I am sure anyone caught doing this will be retired or worse.

This is better placed in exploits and such.
It indeed sounds like someone went ahead and did what we never allow, stealing ahead the loot or rewards of a quest in such manner.
This is indeed an exploit and a matter to be handled in private, so you can give us some insight or suspicion on who did this, in private DM question forum or otherwise in irc.
