The Glowing Ball for the great games is immune to all damaging magic. This (//%22http://www.efupw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88598%22) says that striking the ball with evocations is allowed but I have tested with a number of spells beyond just evocations and it is immune to everything and has no effect.
