Fairly straight forward suggestion, if it's even at all possible.
It would be nice to be able to use marked "teleport" areas with Alarm similar to how it works with the teleport spell and Whispering Winds. It'd make it more interestingly flexible and useful for various concepts and characters, knowing if someone has entered a place from a distance.
Druids should also have access to the spell, in that regards. Being aware of people entering a grove/garden seems certainly in line with their being as guardians of nature.
I know it currently doesn't work and isn't high priority given few use it anyway, but it's such a neat flavour spell that I think it deserves a bit of love!
I like this suggestion but would advise that it thus be limited to 1 alarm location / rest / 5 levels or something just as a slight counter measure.
This would be very welcome and although I worry that it will be used much in the way teleport did in the early days of its implementation (mass gank squads), this is much less dangerous.

This would be especially useful for protecting monster lairs from raids while the occupants are present inside, as an example.
Great idea. My only gripe is that this greater iteration of the alarm spell would be of a higher circle, since it's a good bit more powerful than the paper and pencil level 1 version. Greater Alarm maybe?
