Garagos is an awesome deity, with a various set of goals and quirks that make him different than any other god.

The Garagosian Faith is something that comes with ample perks:

1) He has a shrine.

2) He has a fairly large DM plot that has been delved into from time to time, but has never been completed.

3) He is fun.

However, there are drawbacks. Garagosians do not believe in retreat, or deceitful tactics in conflict, or turning down a chance for spilling blood. This can be fairly difficult for newer players, or those who enjoy using invis and running in battle, leading to IC reprocussions by other faithful.

To kick off, Not all Garagosians are "OH MAH GAWD BLOOD [Foams at mouth and dives head first into 50 enemies at near death]". There are non-psychotic garagosians, but they all tend to have some kind of quirk given the nature of the deity.

For example: Did you know that Garagos has Spies?

"Wait...What?"

Yep. Spies.

"Some of them are sly manipulators who deal in intrigue, thievery, and subtle diplomacies to ensure their own enrichment and continued anonymity or at least lack of public connection between them and the troubles they instigate." So, Even if you aren't interested in playing a crazy barbarian, you could find a way with any class really, to fit into the Garagosian Fold.

A few ideas off the top of my head:

Evocation or Transmutation wizards who drop pain on foes. A Bard who joins the bloody wars to share tales and such of the acts of mercilessness and horror spread through out.A Ranger who pillages caravans and leads travelers purposely into packs of wild animals or Orcs.

i have always thought garagos was a big pro not only because he is fearless smash but because his dogma is easily interpetable in various ways

also like a sorcerer going for the bloodmage thing could fit easily into a garagos concept i think and such but sorcerer class is too badass for me

Bloodmage would be a very cool type of character to have around, for sure.

Deceitful actions in combat.

Garagos is huge on war. It usually takes politicians to start wars and such. That kinda thing.

And again. It isn't a "OH MY GOD MURDER THAT COWARD" kind of thing.

It very well could be if its a big enough battle, or something like that, when someone could have kept fighting, but Forgiveness can be asked for.

We could definitely use some priests of Garagos, since they're naturally the driving force in a faith!

I started a Garagosian with some others recently. But we'd definitely welcome a few more PCs to our squad.
