It is actually pretty late right now so I cannot commit to a long obituary right now, BUT -
Duke Laverne's finally kicked it after 3,5 months. This high level CN Rogue grew up a beggar here in Sanctuary and was quickly hired by a number of institutions and individuals for all sorts of mischief.
The idea to become anything more than a beggar never really crossed my mind until I reached my first 10,000 GP. It was about then that it became a serious concern that some Watcher would inspect him, as people started pointing out his schemes.
Around the time of his death, he had a little over 25,000 GP.
He donated 10,000 GP before that when I planned on making him the most decorated character in Sanctuary. Unfortunately, Duke did not get past 4 medals (or 5, if you count the one I stole from Raran Roundbrick. He sure counted that one).
I kept a record of all the crazy things he's done to get gold outside from conventional means, which might amuse some of you! (It certainly amused me):

Prefucture's proven to be a difficult and somewhat tedious position for Duke to sit in though. I was hoping that it would enable him to make a grab for the position of Prince Prig but it turned out to be the fatal flaw in his operations, and business started to dry up a bit. It was not until last week that I actively put Duke's cards back on the table for some of the more shady folks, with some small measure of success!
I was looking forward to the next couple of months, but I am also looking forward to new things -- so I wish you all the best and remember:
