i subdued an opponent in pvp while he was climbing a hill, i climbed the hill with a grapple after manuevering to get close enough, he recovered and stole my rope.
is that actually legal for him to do that?
i thought climbing to escape a little off but then to recover and steal my rope was a little wrong.
any comments?
There is no doubt on that PvP rule. After getting subdued you must stay down until you receive permission to stand, be it by whoever got you down or a DM.
Against the rules.
Send a proper report to the DMs in the private discussion bit of the DM questions and answers forum.

Just for future reference, you can take these sort of questions directly to the 'DM Questions and Answer' forums. It is ultimately up to them to decide. I would take a moment to contact a DM privately about this, here or in IRC.
When you're subdued you stay down. The PC got a message saying so. It's an easy rule to follow.
That being said, this kind of report is best in private Q&A.
