I'm not sure if this is a bug, but the horizontal jumping function on jumping beans does not consume the jumping bean - when it is used to jump, for instance, to the purple cave, the jumping bean stays in your inventory. When the vertical jumping function is used - for example, to jump from the dark lake to the narrows - the bean is consumed.
