Title: I am constantly being booted from the server.
Post by: liquidsonic on July 05, 2015, 10:07:05 PM
At some point yesterday I used the EFU launcher to log into my PC Sythaeryn Swordstar. Suddenly it booted me from the server, and I could not log into any of my PCs without this error.

I could make new PCs and sometimes they would randomly work, or not work depending on just random unknown factors, but then they ended up in the DM OOC zone for some reason.

I discussed this with Talir yesterday and we could not figure out the reason why. I will wait for a reset to see if I can play afterwards but if no solution can be find. I'll request a new CD-key and fresh install everything.

"L.Sonic-FighterDual" is the account name. Nothing has changed and everything is the same. I'll post back after a reset to the server.

So you checked the basics? If you bought the game from GOG and used default given key, it won't work. But I gues that is not the case?

Did this happen suddenly, without you having done any changes? Having used different accounts, computer, location to log in? From home/work/school?

You are being booted out of game the moment you load into the in game area, or when?

You spoke of error, do you actually get somekind error message?

Do you have haks activated / unactivated?

Yeap checked all this.

I launched through the Efu one.

When the load bar hits about 50%

You spoke of error, do you actually get somekind error message?

Just a "You have been booted" message

Do you have haks activated / unactivated?

Nope. Default EFU download haks/

What I meant is that did all work normally before that. Have you logged in the day before, without any changes?

So you mean you actually get nwn message 'You have been booted' ? Please, these details are important for me to understand if it's the nwn that acts here through normal mechanics or if it's related to haks, security systems or anything else.

I do not understand this. Have you ever written in game /c haks on or what our command was, to activate haks? By default the launcher usually should do that on first go, but that may not always be the case. If haks are activated, the character is expected to have the haks and may end up dropping out of game, but usually that happens only after you actually load into the game, not in middle of loading.

Right sorry for the short replys. This was right before bed for me. I'll try to be more detailed now.

This was all working completely up until just before the previous reset. When I logged in I found that I had been put in the DM OOC zone, then within about maybe 10-20 seconds, I got the booted message.

You spoke of error, do you actually get somekind error message?

Just a "You have been booted" message

To clarify what I mean't, the load bar gets about 50% done before booting me to the main menu with the message "You have been booted". Now I don't understand the reason behind this. I can only imagine this has something to do with some script banning which has gone awry.

Do you have haks activated / unactivated?

Nope. Default EFU download haks/

Sorry, so basically I used the EFU launcher and never activated/deactivated the haks between the orginal install of the game via the launcher, and attempting to log in.

I have not messed with haks at all.

Right, okey I got the clear picture of that. It indeed seems that one of the following has happened:

1. You have been automaticly triggered by security system / somehow gotten to ban list
2. You are accessing some account which does not recognize cdkey etc. but since you didn't change anything from previous login, it shouldn't be the case
3. Something else

I can try to take a look, but if you can catch some DM in irc as I am still on a bit of a hiatus until I can clear my stuff properly, they might be able to check the list too if it is not working by then.

Right now I can't find real reason why you would be booted. It's with all characters and all accounts? Because from our systems point of view, I atleast can't find any reason.

Just letting you know, Paha as he seems to have left after - a reset fixed him seemingly.

Alrightie. I do wonder what it was about. Seems really weird. Thanks for the report.
