Upon my entry to level eight, The first thing I did was test Shark Form, for the sheer pwn of the idea. I found out that:
If you shift underwater you get slowed to worse than heavy encumbered.
if you shift while on land then dive in it works, untill the script "refreshes" the wildshape.
Well documented on the old forum, I believe
It is.
Casting Freedom solves this.
I'd have to waste a IV spell, to fix a bug? That doesn't bode well...
...
Freedom is very useful, what you talking about?
Druids are already immune to most common slowing effects, I'd much rather have stoneskin, mass camo, or hold monster.
What he said. :s
HOLD MONSTER
The point, Thomas, is why should you need to cast 'Freedom' so you can swim while you're a shark?!?
Obviously it's a badass spell, but... erm... yeah.
Shift before you enter the water.
Yeah. I did BUT the "wild shape refresh" kicked in, and slowed me, as I said.
Yes, sadly shark is unreliable at best.... Really only useful for periods where you know your stealth will hold and you have hours to explore underwater :-(
This is still an issue, of course. I liked the idea of giving the shark form 'Freedom' as mentioned http://www.efupw.com/forums/forum/main-forums/bug-reports/10654-sharkshape
Also I should point out to newer players not familiar with this bug that if the movement penalty persists out of the water just go back into the water and out again and that should fix it.
