Suggestions / Orc spawn removal - "The Long Road"

With the War "over" and such, the massive orc spawn here is a bit rough on the lowbie quests in the area. Could maybe be removed :)

Appreciate y'all enduring the weird zealot.

I had a blast with every faction and countless people along the way. The short truth is that she was a survivor from ring 99 that followed in the wake of the Grandmaster's approach on Ephia's Well. She was power hungry but also legitimately wanted to help the masses of refugees, even if it was secretly so they might worship her as the next queen / visage of the Mother. Alas, the long game was ended by a quick gamble, as things often go!

Mirielle,

I am delighted to have received your letter, even if it is riddled with ignorance or lies.

First off, My deal with Selsi was to get her to Bet Nappahi. I consider it fulfilled. Her own decisions and private dealings with the golden maniac were not included in our singular agreement.

As for your second flawed point, Rowan killed Inanna and Luther hired him. Whether you approved the effort or not isn't a question for me to answer or really care about.

Lastly, and perhaps my eyes merely deceive me, but it appears that you lack a flock of Recluta ready to die so that you can stand upon their shoulders anew and steal away their next accomplishments for yourself? In such a case, I would like to offer my own advice in exchange for that which was given to me.

I have taken notice that the man wearing green tends to have a steady flock of loyal soldiers behind him while your ranks empty and you linger on as some glorified jester tossing her knives about in the air. Perhaps it would be wise to investigate how a stronger leader than yourself conducts himself? You see, Mirielle, all of that chirping you hear is the laughter of the audience as they gaze upon you. Even as you wrote this letter, surely you could feel the bindings of that marionettist alongside that overwhelming feeling that you are just a little puppet that can be controlled, not only with dinari, but the mere promise of it.

Do better.

Beloved people of Ephia's Well,

The darkness has lifted, not by the wretched light of the betrayer sun, but by the iron of our very will. We, as your Legates, acted in solemn truth, seeing the rot of Kha'esh seeking to consume Arlsan and all we hold dear. Yet, even as we moved to cleanse this sickness, some bartered faith for coin or false promise....like little vermin spies.  Know this, people of Ephia's Well, these foes, these blasphemers, were not merely misguided. No, they were abominations, traitors to order, parasites who sought to feast upon our labor and devotion.

They harbored the lowest of men—brokers of blood and betrayers of trust!

Names that should be spoken only with curses: Argent Argyris, Gedwyr Karstcleft, and the craven Oswick the Lame, who scuttled in darkness, whispering treason like a serpent in the ears of the wicked. They sheltered such filth, and condemned themselves.

They bowed before the will of a High Programmer of Qa'im!

A false master, a deceiver, guiding them to twist the pure into the profane. With mechanical precision, they sought to chain Arlsan's people, to grind their spirits into dust beneath unholy designs. Tyranny's hand is one we sever with steel.

They tortured the civilians and Tutors of Arlsan alike!

Toiling under the lash, the faithful were forced to labor, stripped of dignity, robbed of freedom. They sought to desecrate the mines, to drain them bare, enriching themselves with stolen wealth. This was their justice, a law written in chains. We shattered their bonds. We cast them down.

They turned their bodies to filth in the name of the wretched Pra'raj! Blasphemy! Blasphemy!

Let none forget what was seen. Hundreds bore witness to their debasement, their perversions made open in the scald, spurning the Mother's waters. They forsook her embrace, spat upon her mercy, and proclaimed themselves beyond redemption. But there is no escape from judgment.

They sought to take Bet Nappahi from us!

Not content with Arlsan, they slithered forward, intending to rip from our grasp what we bled to claim. Cowards, thieves, jackals scouring the wake of herons. They believed us weakened, distracted in our triumph. But they did not know us. They did not know our fire.

But now they know. They know the wrath of the faithful. They know the fury of those who do not yield, who do not kneel.

Rejoice, people of Ephia's Well. The falsehood of Kha'esh is broken, its heralds cast down. The hyena's jaws have snapped upon nothing but the wind. We stand unbroken, we stand victorious. By the Mother's grace, by our steel and our will, let this be a lesson written in blood...Ephia's Well shall not falter!

Makhyoon Yaawar Al-Khalhid,

Beloved faithful of the wheel, proud servant of our faith....

Seek me in the coming days so that we might align ourselves, seek me so that her sable cloak might shield you from the corruption that weighs down upon your efforts, seek me so that we might cast aside the wicked and obliterate the heretic.

Edmund,

The choice was no threat upon your life, but more of one against your dwindling integrity that crumbles beneath the weight of what I thought to be lesser men than yourself. You have outcast me and slandered me in countless private chambers over the murder of someone in which I had no involvement, and now you ask me to give you praise so that you might join the Banda Rossa? I should hope that you can see the irony in this. Will you act the same way when the contracts you are bound to lead down similar paths?

You will receive nothing until you clearly correct the statements that you have made against me, and furthermore elaborate upon whatever treachery and schemes the Lieutenant Colmes put you up to from within that garrison. Should you remain unwilling to fix your errors and openly admit for your mistakes that boiled over from these private meetings, then you are not deserving of anything at all.

To the Most Serene and Erudite Representatives of the Sublime Garden,

Your words, resplendent as the banners of the Eagle Chair itself, reach us in their full opulent measure, enrobed in the silken folds of guidance and tradition. It is ever the fortune of those who dwell beyond the gilded spires of Baz'eel to be illuminated by the wisdom of its stewards, and thus, with all due reverence, we accept the touch of your paternal hand upon the trembling shoulder of our humble experiment.

The weight of your counsel is felt, as is the gravity of the path you urge upon us. The Legatine Council, in its wisdom and with all due ceremony, shall see to it that the will of Ephia's Well is voiced in accordance with the highest standards of diplomatic virtue. A summons shall be extended to the Envoy and Ambassador of Kha'esh, delivered with words as measured as they are unassailable, etched upon parchment that bears the weight of our station.

They shall come before our Assembly and stand beneath the gaze of Ephia's Voiced, where the matter of Arslan's governance shall be made plain to them. With courtesy honed to a sword's edge we shall declare our position that the land they till is not their own, and that the wellspring they have sought to claim flows not for them, but for the sovereign hands of Ephia's Well. This shall be done openly, as you so eloquently prescribe, with all the conviction of those who speak not in whispers, but with the measured cadence of those who have already decided.

Know that our words shall carry the weight of iron without ever striking the anvil. The resolve of Ephia's Well is no storm upon the horizon, but inevitable like the rising of the wicked idol of Pra'raj.

Thus, we walk forward, burdened by the mantle that has been placed upon our shoulders, but unbowed. Let this be known in the halls of Baz'eel, where the wheel turns and the Mother watches.

In firmest resolve, under the Grace of Civilization,

Legate Alexandria Sayburgh

Postscript to the Most diligent and decorous Chief Scribe Ashbury:

Be assured, I am quite able to read.

Now is not the time to crumble to a little pressure from a scorch addict. Stand up strong and remain pure to the cause of the people.

Absolver,

Keep your weapons low inside of the citadel walls. If there is a crime within, seek the Janissary for aid. Beyond the walls and beneath the Mother's sable cloak, bring forth your justice or absolution, as necessary.

Secondly, did you find out much from Mazeed? I did ever want some information from him.

Absolver Mansur,

Fret not over this little games played by my counterpart. Your brilliant work is a shining example of the Absolvers and their worth to this citadel.
