Dwarves are overpowered enough as it is. Why should they get more while other races wouldn't? Either give them level adjustement, or give bonuses to the other races as well.

IMO Reward should be increased, and the use of magic items, potions or spells you cannot cast yourself forbidden since the npc apparently doesn't use any. What is the point of a duel if the duelists don't fight on equal terms?

Quotemy pack is turning pink now and spawning Vorpal Rabbits from another plane now because I have 53 Magic swords crammed inside!
That's why you would keep some of your items in your bag, and some on your belt... Or in your rented room / guild storage chest.

Btw, I take you also want to limit the spells a caster can cast, right?

Adventurer 1: "Hey, are you crazy?? Why the hell did you drop these speed potions on the floor??"

Adventurer 2: "Well, I've already four, and some unknown force prevents me from having more in my bag"

Adventurer 1: "Why don't you sell them then?"

Adventurer 2: "I tried, but all of the people I met have four magical items and that weird unknown force prevents them for getting more also"

lol?

Wow lots of info garem :O

But from what I've read, I don't find the dwarves as you depict them are very different from Salvatore's dwarves. They also mistrust strangers, value their traditions, have a sense of fraternity with each other... Besides how much they drink (It's widely stated dwarves like ale, anyway), I don't see the difference.

Anyway, since people is talking of breaking concepts, this might be an interesting one: a dwarf who is openly evil and / or who openly worships the evil dwarven god Abbathor. Would he be accepted by the rest of the dwarves?

Quote from: Secutor;134430I know this is sarcasm, but seriously: now is the time to make some dwarf concepts that break the "KIN KIN ALE TASTE ME AXE" [16, 12, 18, 10, 10, 8] stereotype that has so timelessly plagued Forgotten Realms material ever since the publication of that prolific blight that is R. A. Salvadore's body of work (mush).
How are dwarves like, then?

Unless I'm wrong, the dms won't accept mass apps for monsters subraces chars. The concept is nice though!

That's got to be the most stupid post I've seen on these forums. I know maths and geography, thank you.

About the suggestion, if people don't feel like using only one time, then at least they could say how many hours their event is from their post. It's quick, easy, and it doesn't force everyone who doesn't live in their timezone to do the annoying process of converting it to their own.

If I was sure that there would be no lag, no crash, or anything else out of my control that would cause the death of my char, I would do anything!

There is an obsession with winning in one encounter.

If a mage and a warrior fight, the warrior won't have any chance of winning if the mage is fully prepared, or even if both are fully prepared. The mage will dispel everything so the warrior won't have any chance of harming the mage, and at best he will survive and manage to run away (if the mage runs out of spells, it will be easier to run away for him, because he remains buffed). Nobody wins, but the warrior will have wasted a lot of consumeables while the mages will only have wasted spells, which he will get back by resting, so next time they fight it's likely the mage will win. Another reason to not introduce any change that would make being paralyzed by HP more likely. This spell means instant death, PfA doesn't.

With due respect, I believe the real problem here is your skill in playing a spellcaster, and not PfA. There are plenty of ways a mage could beat a fighter besides HP.

Unless I'm wrong, there is one simple thing that can greatly help whichever way you want to deal with the ogres: silence.

Now about the faction: do you have objectives besides being bandits? Having other realizable objectives would make the faction more interesting imho.
