I actually have two PCs with very similar builds that I draw comparison between. The earlier one was 14 con while the newer one is 12 con, basically I decided to sacrifice 2 con in order to have a greater dex bonus this time around. Anyways, comparing them both at level seven despite the fact that the newer one had a d10 hp roll class replaced with a d6 hp roll class, their hp is pretty much virtually the same. Essentially, for that I agree with those posters that believe so much is left to luck in this regard despite the fact that stat points and even a feat can be invested into more hit points. That being said, I could argue for either side. However, regardless of which I decide to argue for, I can't deny the fact that static hp rolls would make things more balanced in the end. Anyhow, sorry for writing too much.

As silly as this sounds, I have switched the NWN menu music to the old music for the ambiance. During character creation, I stare at the portraits and imagine who they would be. Somehow, the old menu music helps that.

I've been having this problem since I recently installed Neverwinter Nights again. Whenever I try to start a game (using the Start New Internet/LAN Game), I can't get past the place where you choose a module to load. After choosing the module to load, when trying to host a game, I get the following message:

Attempting to find server.
Connection to server has failed.
Server is not responding (timed out).

I can still join persistent words or games hosted by other people. Also, the function above works normally on another laptop in my network, under the same router and everything (The Start New Internet/LAN game works perfectly fine on that laptop.)

Turning off all my firewalls, does nothing to help with the issue. Neither has port forwarding. Anyone know what I should do and/or what might be up with this? (This isn't a problem of people being unable to connect to me like I have read about in other posts. I can't even start the Internet/LAN Game to begin with. Any help would be appreciated.

If it helps, I use Windows 7. On another note, I can create a joinable game by nwserver.exe. This problem only occurs under the specific circumstances explained above.
