I'm just north of London, so GMT. Typically play 7pm until about midnight weekdays, more flexible weekends.

Incidentally, is anyone presently keen to burden themselves with an understudy? I think being shown the ropes as it were by a veteran would go a long way to alleviating my troubles and setting me on the path to EfU japes.

I suppose the major obstacle I’m having difficulty hurdling is knowing where the bare essentials are ~ I.E. lower level quests, your go-to merchants, your inns, your shady corners and hangouts. I’m very conscious however that learning them in any other fashion than IG might deprive me of some integral EfU experience and fun.

Introductions and Group Management / Bedding In

Hello Mistlocke! I’ve been a fringe player of EfU for the past week and made numerous attempts in the past to join the community permanently. Unfortunately, I’m struggling to “bed in” and break the wall of resistance that is my attention span.

Having played a similar server in Arabel for nearly seven years now I come from a scenario where I know the setting intimately, I can dive into a concept knowing my bearings and what I can and cannot do. Mistlocke, however,  is very much the opposite. It’s new, it’s challenging, it’s all a bit alien.

But, such is my resolve to board this particular cloud of heaven I thought I might turn to those that call it home and plea for some words of wisdom and sage advice.

How did you first get involved in EfU? How did you make the leap from home soils to foreign turf? From old to new? What tips of the trade can you offer? Anything that would help me would be thoroughly appreciated.
