Vagreth last of the Tiger Tribe

Died fighting the undead druid Ar-Moegul Ymph, lost his footing to an earthquake spell and got torn apart by his sickle. Tucked into his belt are the totems of the Tiger, Frog and Scarab, his only friends whom died not long before him.

Not likely to have a tombstone being a stargazer.

A really good character, I wish I could have interacted with him more. But fate put us on opposite sides. You play a great knight and I expect we'll see another one at some point. I only hope we're not at odds the next time.

Maybe it's just preferred that people arrive than have been living in mistlocke doing nothing all this time? Seems to be a more probable way to start an adventuring character.

When one option is given incentive over another it's usually a hint as to what option would be better to choose in most cases.

Quote from: HalflingPower;340199You can take extra music with a bard level on 1,3,6 or 9

If you are non evil and use one of the disabling curse songs it can be extremely devastating. That's 2 feats, but it is really strong.

That said, I think they are fine as they are.

Two feats is a gigantic investment as a lot of characters only receive four or five(human bonus)feats total. I can confirm that taking just 3~4 bard levels is the ideal target in most cases.

On the subject of alignment. Not sure why that was mentioned. Only certain songs have alignment restrictions. Curse Song is a song type that encompasses all harmful songs. Alignment values are only assigned to specific songs. E.g a song that curses good aligned characters exclusively and severely might be considered evil only.

I think going down there is about as dangerous as travelling near sanctuary was in the old days. Actually probably more so and sanctuary was much deeper than the upperdark.

Seen mind flayers, 1-3 umberhulk behemoths, spawns of 5-6 driders. Not to mention the magic eaters that pop up when you try to buff. I quite like the underdark areas as they stand. I'm all for making even deeper more dangerous areas though.

Edit: Lets not forget that only certain types of characters can travel freely down there due to all the climb checks. Though anyone can get around. It can be extremely tedious.

The censored quick slots are my favourite aspect of these screen shots.

Let a DM worry about whether or not a character is more knowledgeable than he should be. You should only concern yourself with roleplaying the stats on your character sheet. Whether somebody else is roleplaying their numbers properly is for a DM to decide and something you've no business speculating upon.

To answer your question. Lore allows you to expand upon things that are done with finer details. Or speak upon things that are outside of your normal field. Things that would require study as you've no experience with them in person. Whether or not you have lore doesn't dictate how much you know as almost every tavern/church across the realms has bards/priests spinning tales of every major happenings.

I wouldn't worry about how accurate this chart is and isn't. Alignment is best left to an afterthought. After I come up with my characters concept I'll read it and stamp it with the alignment I feel is closest to his motivations. If I get it wrong I don't really worry about it because it can easily be shifted based on actions in game without even having to ask for it.

Quote from: SanTelmo;317062Did you flee, Naga, or fight like a man?

I don't flee. I remain in motion at times to ensure the battle takes place where I want it to however.

A great idea. But would need a lot of effort put into fleshing it out.

If you have issues with specific people being rude in irc you should speak to a DM with regard to your concern and allow action to be taken. While I sincerely doubt it was your intent, in this post you are talking down to everyone in the community who takes part in irc. This behaviour is equally as harmful as the issues you brought forward in your post.

This isn't the first time players have attempted to police one another through forum posts and I feel that the server as a whole would be much better off if concerns were brought to the administration rather than kept quiet until frustration reaches the point as to merit a post like this one/constant snide remarks in irc.
