A direction can't hurt, such as a simple "to the north of".
I doubt new players go anywhere exploring for fear of being eaten by surprise leopards, stunned to death by assassin vines, and so on.

Quote from: Cerberus;282046This train of thought is a deterrent in itself as it makes you think that ANY PvP can lead to your PC's retirement.

I think this is the best way of thinking about it. You need to realize each PvP situation, however small, could result in permanent death. Things change on EfU very rapidly.

Don't let this discourage you from taking risks, though- the most memorable characters are those that took on incredible odds, and won. But for each of those, ten characters failed to outlive those odds.

Suggestions / Trading Furs

This quest is extremely expensive to take and has the immense risk of losing your entire investment of gold, which is a lot with the extreme rarity of gold on the early levels, in case of a crash. I know that is intentional, since it has been suggested to be changed before.

However, I propose this:

If you lose your Ox - and there are many ways you can lose him, and a few of them are not your own fault (the rare teleport bug, for one, extreme lag spikes another) - you ought to be able to get a second chance on this. Just say the ox came back, or rangers returned him to Mistlocke.

It would hardly affect the balance to give this small concession that will help ward off much frustration.

Suggestions / Canopy Quest

There is a quest in the Mist End Tavern that asks you to climb up some canopy to collect feathers.

The NPC does not describe where this Canopy can be found. I asked someone else who was taking the quest earlier and he told me he cancelled it because he, too, could not find the location.

I suggest the NPC give a clue or direction where to begin looking.

Suggestions / Deliver: Worthwhile Wood

Jance Tarth, the Carpenter in the Market Hall should accept the wood. He is the natural NPC to gravitate to, in my opinion, being a carpenter.
