Alright then. Hydarum Leyph ascended with the rest of the Conclave although he attempted to avoid his coming doom. Sadly, he could not figure out his destiny before it was too late.

I'll be brief about Hydarum Leyphs history and then let the screenshots tell a bit more:

Hydarum Leyph was a diviner, a seeker of knowledge. He wished to know everything and also keep his own accomplishments away from the grasp of undeserving upstarts. Unfortunately for him though, his spying and scrying before the time he was portaled to Ymph caused his mentality to take a heavy blow. He had been studying his own timeline, future and past both. But he forgot the most important thing about studying your own being - to never look at the ball and seek to Scry on your exact current moment in time as it would likely cause infinite regression to occur.

Drifting close to this moment, he managed to zap out of it but not without severe injuries. He began to see "someone" watching him, all the time, trying to 'steal' his work. This someone was himself and he was constantly pestered about the image of it, in the corner of his eyes. He feared the reflection of himself and whenever he saw it, especially close range to a mirror or reflective surface, he would either flee in terror or fall to the ground helplessly. In his sub-conscious mind, he managed to understand that for some reason he cannot divine the location of the one watching him and thus he needed others to determine who is the one watching him. That is why he performed "the inquiry" on others and sought to remove this pestering observer. I had planned that either he will go utterly mad trying to heal his mental illness or regain concsiousness and turn into even more dangerous, scheming mind. Neither happened but all in all, I am quite happy with the story!

I'd like to thank the whole Conclave for being awesome buddies with whom to work in a mage-school environment. We had a lot of internal fighting, bickering and other stuff that wasn't so visible to outsiders and I had a lot of fun with it. Secondly, all the players with who took part in the inquiry, you were great, all your reactions were a bit different than others. I was surprised that only one dashed out of it and said "This is nonsense, I'm out of here!". I guess a few were playing a bit with me for the money, which is good ;). Thirdly, for DMs Howland and ShadowCharlatan for helping me out with my character IG and otherwise dealing with all the Conclaves awesomeness you have seen happening the past month. And to DM core for twice offering me a chance to get rid of withering (yes, I withered a lot in the Conclave and during my crazy amount of playing hours) and running that little mad event at the end of my character.

And to all of you rest, keeping the server up and interacting with me in all the possible ways. Now... to the screenshots. They are not in chronological order but I have tried to keep those tied to the same event together.

I was without a Consort for a long time. Mostly because Hydarum was too paranoid of having one, also because a bit of bad luck. I finally got the chance to get the Keepsafe Doll, a sentient, twisted little creature to bond with. Here's from the journey to get it!

I did quite a lot of spying with Arcane Eye, even though Hydarum could no longer perform Scrying - he knew the Scrying spell but he could not perform it because of his illness. Here is from the quest of Bryndan Thorvald. Shame I have lost the last screenshot where Bryndan comes to the Conclave the day after it bragging to Hydarum that "shame you couldn't be around witnessing the Wyrm Watcher Triumph". I had just made a full report about his dealings to the Conclave forums :)
