Quote from: The Man In The Mist;304916Any cleric can raise the dead with the current system in place, not just level 9s.

Keep it rare and miraculous. No diamonds.

Then remove the candles too. Raising the dead is extremly mundane.

Quote from: Damien;303802thats the point of randoms and exploration, why must all your fun come from scripted quests? have you not had enough of that by level 8?

Exploarton and random events takes a lot of time, unless you're intending to log out in the middle of nowhere (which shouldn't be done) or not get very far.

I still think Egon's last point was the most important one.

I don't play EFU to build up for an epic server-chainging DM event-plot thing, i play to have fun. If i have the time to do that then i'll surely do, but if i don't, should i quit EFU? Chatting in the mistlocke square gets old fast. I'd rather chat with a friend IRL.

But what if i feel like questing, r if i'm drained of supplies, and i have a high level character and i don't have 29384 hours to spare? From what i've seen, many players on EFU have a lot of time to spare and don't mind 3-4 hour game sessions, but not all of us can have that luxury.

Last time i did a long quest, that was the broodhive quest, it took like 3 and a half hours, and i barely managed to sprint to my duties after that.

Quote from: Softie;302586This is an excellent tip and one I would like to highlight.  A lot of the time people act like the ultra brave hero, which is fine if it is your character.  Ultra brave heroes who back talk might not get mercy.

If you grovel and beg ICly, if it fits for your character, there is a very good chance you can survive and just work for them, or possibly be sent off with some sort of disfigurement or warning.

I guess what I am saying is, give cowardice a chance!  I think a lot of people over look this.

I learned i could get away from death, XP loss, drylooting by pathetically pleading for mercy and acting like a coward when the situation calls for it. Got one of my characters VERY far- in all honestly the "not looking badass" is worth it.

Bats are only winged rats after all.
I don't like the ability to infect other PCs, but everything else sounds good to me. Makes it the ideal race for a badass villian.

Why not ultravision rather than darkvision?
It makes sence "True sight" would bypass darkness.

You know what would be even more awesome?
That the retired awesome dead PCs would sometimes appear in the mist in the forgotten forest, or the pass, and occasionally in the mistlocke graveyard. Maybe even speaking a phrase or something their original player would think fitting.

I agree with VP, besides, it's not like in skyrim, where you can press "T" and in a matter of seconds it becomes daytime. If you're looking to do quests and it's nightime, considering you'd be a low level PC and there are 3 low level quests there, you're going to be there.

I agree Jayde, but it's in any case only a level 1 summon. It can't go beyond that. It also can't be "themed" and it's only effective as a distraction against enemies with no elemental damage nor magical weapons.

It will only replace the summoning spells for wizards and sorcerers doing the solo lowbie quests that require a summoned tank to be completable. The functions from higher summon creature spells it can replace at higher levels it already replaces, namely, distract certian enemies to let you flee.

25/+2 DR is too big, i agree with that.

Perhaps make it similar to regular summons then, but with altered values in duration/summoning points so it's more difficult to use? Instead of 3/4/5 rounds, maybe leave it at 2/2/3 and make it so that only if you have GSF: evocation you can summon more than one?

Take into account it is the only summon wizards with several spell schools can have, besides the familiar.

Maybe allow it only for evoker wizards then? They are the only ones that can't summon anything else untill level 7 (which isn't very good anyway), and should be specialists in this spell.
