Is there still much dwarfing going on? I really want to do some dwarfing.

The boss is pretty insane, but otherwise this quest isn't that hard. You just have to be careful and plan ahead a little. Did it yesterday with my rogue and a low level wizard, and while yes, we failed spectacularly at killing the boss the rest of it went ok. You just have to be willing to use a few supplies, and if the group is small enough you need some summons to draw those sneak attacks.

As for the boss I have no idea. The only time I've seen him defeated was by a superpowered group of 5-6 people who ran through the quest like it was a race, so I didn't actually have time to see what they did to bring him down.

However, I suspect that one too is just a matter of distracting him from your squishies while dealing damage quickly. Throw summons at him, use sneak attacks, magic missiles, you name it.

As a side note, if you enter this quest without at least two fighters and a cleric to back you up, you're clearly the kind of player who can die and have fun during the same hour.

I liked this annoying little gnome, even though we bearly met.

If you manage to die before ICly starting play, you can just remake the character. Its not that big a deal to perma before the character even speaks to anyone.

However, since it is possible to die during the starter quests, I agree with the suggestion. It takes a pretty epic fail to die so early, but some people are new to the mechanics or just unlucky, and if there are no lvl 1+ quests then getting to lvl 2 is going to be very hard. Correct me if I'm wrong.
