I'd really hate to see every ranger have this awesome ability. People vastly underestimate its usefulness. As is I believe those rangers with FE: Human can get it? Why not keep it at that?

Introductions and Group Management / The Middle Path

Recommended Alignment: Non-Good (While the philosophy and its intentions aren't blatantly sinister, by its very nature undeath is evil and so adherents tend to be evilly inclined.)
Recommended Race: Any.
Recommended Class: Any but Paladin or Druid. (Though there's possibility of playing a withered druid with the proper concept and application I suppose.)
The Middle Path is a philosophical approach to the Withering Curse that adheres to The Three Eternal Truths. It sees the curse as a way to release one self from the mortal coil and ascend to a higher form of being. Though The Middle Path's adherents would certainly accommodate those with other philosophies so long as they embrace the curse.
Any number of concepts might fit within the collective whether an ascetic seeking a more "perfect" form, a necromancer seeking to live forever, or someone who would rather become an undead abomination than be enthralled by the illithid. With enough gusto and commitment there might even be an opportunity to apply to be fully withered.
