Bug Reports / Missing Lair
September 12, 2016, 11:54:25 PM
My lair is suddenly missing. That I know of, I haven't changed anything. It just disappeared. When I log in, I spawn in the Crossroads. It appears most of the "myconid" skins are loading correctly. So I have no idea why it's just gone.

EDIT:  I'd try to just place it again but I was almost at a tier level, and if it IS bugged, I don't want to compound the problem.

This would be amazingly helpful in a few places where the 'shroom always seem to spawn in the most path blocking way possible.

I wasn't really thinking in terms of the ally having full access.  The thought was more a segregation effect along with it.  Much like with any holding, there's a "public" area (that may or may not be readily accessible, though usually is) and "full members only" section.  Similar to how any of the faction bases work.  As D_I said, it would be rather silly to give someone full access with no real downsides.

Understandably, if you're giving someone full "master" access to your lair, then yes, the same downsides would apply.  This only makes sense.  It would be like having a roommate.  They've got run of the house as well, and if something goes sideways, you're affected too.

But with an ally, they would have access to only part of the lair.  Rather like being in a hotel.  You get a safe-ish place to rest, maybe an herb or two, maybe a little shroom-bark, etc.  The trade-off being that if they are in (or around) the lair, it does still open it up to attack.  If the outer portion is attacked, the lair as a whole still gets degraded.

I honestly did think this was already a feature.  At least the segregation between ally and master.  As it sits right now, you have no other option but to make someone a master, even if you're not really wanting them to be, but want to extend "help" as a friend.  It's puts you in an "all or nothing" situation that sometimes is a stretch because there is no other option.

(Sorry, should have explained the thought more fully in the OP)

Suggestions / Lair Suggestion - Add Ally
July 21, 2016, 03:32:59 AM
Having read through the old Lair Suggestion thread, this particular point wasn't exactly addressed.

I would suggest that a "add ally" type of feature be added to the lair mechanics.  How I see it functioning is that someone who's been set as an "ally" has to find the entrance in a fashion similar to finding a secret door when the lair owner isn't online.  Though if you've been set as an ally it would be a low DC check.

Naively, when coming up with the concept for my current PC, I thought this actually was already a feature.  However, now having actually built the lair, I've discovered that the only way to add someone to your lair is to make them another "lair master".   Which means that any of the downfalls of the lair that are possible when the actual owner is online, can also occur when an "lair ally" is online.  Which can lead to some rather .... unfortunate circumstances ... that don't necessarily make sense.

This wouldn't replace the "add lair master" mechanic, as that does have a legitimate use and purpose.  It would be in addition to.

Just a quick bump up. It's probably fairly low on the priority list. It looks like it does give you lair points, but it's not recognizing that you've put items in the altar for use in the herbalism bowl.

EDIT:  Tried to add 4 additional Lentinellus, and while it did take it, it gave no points this time.

Bug Reports / EFUSL Passwords
March 12, 2016, 08:05:04 PM
Has something happened with the EFUSL passwords? I've reset my passwords several times, but I'm getting a "Login Unsuccessful" error. The same GSID that worked yesterday doesn't work today. So I reset it and it's still not working.
Thanks!

EDIT:  Apparently I can get it to update if I log into game through the main NwN method.  Previously I was logging in through the launcher.  While it shouldn't make a difference, that's the only other different thing I tried that did update the password.

Rendirk Stoutheart:  You two ready?
Reesa Tallfen:  [nods] Ready as I'm going to be.
Raggz:  [Shrugs]
Rendirk Stoutheart:  Last chance to back out. If ya wanna wait fer a cleric...
Reesa Tallfen:  I'd love a priestess to be here to bless our joining. But we make do with what we have, right?
Rendirk Stoutheart:  Times are tough, an' yer words are enough, I says.
Rendirk Stoutheart:  So, we doin' this?
Reesa Tallfen:  Aye, We're doing this
Rendirk Stoutheart:  There we go. Take center stage, my friends.
Rendirk Stoutheart:  Ladies an' gents, I'd like some silence now.
Rendirk Stoutheart:  We have 'ere Rags an' Reesa, two scrappers who are dear friends of mine.
Rendirk Stoutheart:  One's a greyling, the other's yer bog normal halfer. What they can't be in skin, they can share in vows, though.
Rendirk Stoutheart:  I ain't no priest or anythin' like that. I got about as much use fer Gods as I do piles of dirt.
Rendirk Stoutheart:  But I reckon I'm man enough to ask fer those vows, if you'll give 'em.
Rendirk Stoutheart:  Startin' with you, Reesa.
Reesa Tallfen:  [nods with a smile] Thank you Red.
Rendirk Stoutheart:  Say yer words.
Raggz:  [Smiles and nods. Turns to face Reesa.]
Reesa Tallfen:  [holds out a ring to Raggz]
Reesa Tallfen:  I was lucky enough to find you here in the dark when the world was dark above.  You've showed me the "stars" of the caves and the bits of your heart.  If you'll have me, I'd be proud to be your missus.
Raggz:  [Looks at Reesa as if she's the only person in the room.]
Reesa Tallfen:  [puts the ring in Rags hand then takes a long drink from the flask, drinking down half of it]
Rendirk Stoutheart:  *Red smirks at this.*
Rendirk Stoutheart:  *Evidently he approves of the boozing.*
Chimaera:  *watches, her expression wistful*
Rendirk Stoutheart:  An' if yer done, Reesa, I'll ask Rags to give his vows now.
Reesa Tallfen:  I hope someday soon we can have it blessed by Yondalla and Sheela's own as well.  [offers the other half of the bottle to Rags]
Raggz:  [Smiles]
Reesa Tallfen:  [nods]
Raggz:  [Looks Reesa in the eyes and speaks to her.] I know it's not a traditional halflin marrage. No days of celibration. We'll do that tagether til we cant no more.
Raggz:  But wit what we have here in da dark, we need only eachother. [holds out a ring]
Reesa Tallfen:  [holds out her hand for the ring]
Raggz:  Keep dat until we ken do dis right by da gods.
Reesa Tallfen:  [clasps it tight in her hand]
Raggz:  [Drinks down the rest of the brew]
Rendirk Stoutheart:  A'right! Hold out yer fingers together.
Rendirk Stoutheart:  *He holds up a bundle of rusted wire.*
Reesa Tallfen:  [claps Rags hand and holds out her hand to Red]
Raggz:  We'll start da Greyling race out good we will! [Smiles]
Oscar Sprocket:  [Nods thoroughly.]
Rendirk Stoutheart:  By the scrapper traditions vested in me, which I made up five minutes ago, I pronounce ya joined. *He links their fingers together with the length of wire.*
Raggz:  [Grins]
Reesa Tallfen:  [grins and laughs]
Rendirk Stoutheart:  Now smooch, damnit.
Oscar Sprocket:  Bravo!
Raggz:  [Looks her in the eyes and then kisses Reesa...]
Reesa Tallfen:  [smooches Rags throughly]
Raggz:  now fer da honeymoon [grins]
Rendirk Stoutheart:  A'right, a'right. Best we can do fer now, until we can find ya a hin of the cloth.
Rendirk Stoutheart:  But I hope that's suitable fer ya.
Reesa Tallfen:  [nods with a smile] It'll do just fine.  We've exchanged our vows in front of friends and kin.  The blessings will come
Raggz:  Gotta do what we gotta do dese days.
Rendirk Stoutheart:  Cheers!
Rendirk Stoutheart:  Now go drink yerselves silly, I got a convention to close.

The issue seems to have resolved itself.  I used the exact same set of chain shirt as I originally used.  Following the same protocol I did before, it didn't apply when I first put the armor on but did after resting.  Even swapping out the armor back and forth, it applied the bonus.

I'm not sure what changed but it does seem to be working now.

Bug Reports / Vagabond Perk Armor
August 03, 2014, 05:26:17 PM
I refer to this post.  The question comes in with Chain Shirt Armor.  I've encountered 2 different sets of Chain Shirt.  Both say "medium armor".  Is there different types of chain shirts?  The "medium armor" chain shirt doesn't give the bonus.  I've tried resting with it on, and the perk didn't apply.  When I switched over to leathers (without resting), the perk applied.

So my base question is: Is there different levels of Chain Shirt armor? Or is this a bug?
