[This letter is recieved and given a vague perusal, but lacking any name or return address it finds itself filed away deep within basement archives of the Sublime Garden, eventually settling into a new documented existence somewhere between the true will of Marcellus Saenus and the Map to the Cup. Or so they say.]

al-Ibrahim

Your choice to establish a documented communication between us already you a little more credit than many applicants we see seeking to serve the State of Ephia's Well on behalf of our glorious Sultan's Sublime Garden.

If this is a path you wish to follow, you shall be summoned for an Interview. Please prepare a list of your previous relevant experience and current areas of expertise, and consider what you are currently aware of regarding the Sublime Garden and where you believe you may best be an asset to it's continued function.

For the Scribe store:

Seal of Official Business

This ring bears an Official Scribal Seal, indicating the bearer is working on behalf of the Scribes or Legates, and should not be charged for the use of a Bellows head while it remains valid. They are mostly found on the fingers of Scribes or Messengers, but often find themselves granted to Adventures in return for services or bribes.

"But that isn't in the penal code."

A phrase which brings dread to all government adjacent PCs, the fundamental misunderstanding of what a Penal code is for that you don't have the time or patience to explain.

It would be great if we had a Seperate option and board for Legate Decrees. Added to just like laws, but for detailing things like the creation and duties of titles, the declaration of city holidays, the agreement of a new policy at assembly, and all those other little things that aren't crimes but people will still demand you "Show me on the Stele".

Ah, I get you now. A very fair point.

I think we're seeing a combination of two issues really. Scribes Ostensibly being the government and information faction, but not being able to have too much information due to having no restrictions to joining freely and no real internal faction checks or ranks aside from entirely player controlled ones.

There are already scribe PCs who can check the Treasury on the stele. And on an In Universe level the Scribe NPCs are the ones managing the Treasury, legates aren't moving masses of money around with nobody in the government any the wiser.

My thought was more for access to the information during meetings and the like without having to run all the way somewhere and get it. But the point about access to the information and the scribes in general is very valid.

Quick and simple, give the Scribes a new book in their store that tracks the current amount of money in the treasury.

Legates can already take away your property if you're a contrarian and they don't like you. This just provides another option for Properties nobody could afford to buy furnished so don't just have to be wiped clean of everything inside.

As it stands, Legates have the Ability to reclaim a property for the state to be re-sold.

I suggest Legates also be given the Ability to Grant a property to an individual, furnished or Unfurnished, without paying the initial cost (Though taxes remain the same).

This offers Legates the ability to give cool furnished properties to PCs who curry favour with them that would otherwise be unaffordable, give access to properties that are currently locked down due to lack of ownership to get at things that are inside, and perhaps most importantly facilitate transfering properties between players without the DMs needing to do it.

If I recall, the highest tier coolest relics have been that price since the beginning of v6, and plenty of people still ended up with them pre-war.

Shake around the collection plate and start gathering those Tithes.

Burning Hands and Acid Breath are flavoured as Burning and Acidic sand by the perk flavour text.

We now have a Sand based Cone spell Vfx, used for sand splash.

I think, in a totally unbiased way, that having the perk alter the Vfx of these spells to a sand cone would be awesome.

Vander was the perfect "Sane Cop" to Ward and Hans' good cop bad cop.

It was an absolute joy to get to be legion at the same time as you.
