Was loving the pc but alas, evil doers meet their end, sometimes quicker than wished. I still had fun, and thank everyone who rped with my spellguard aspirant legal necromancer :) stay tuned for my next pc! Lower needs some love, and with a recent influx of elves.. i know exactly what will stir the pot >;) time to indulge once more in my favorite concept type. I shall be using a new login however as my character vault is staggering. MaximumOverDrive will be my new one

Screen Shots & Obituaries / The Rot Beast, Noah
October 10, 2014, 10:39:26 PM
Welp he has met his end.. I have a lot of screenies i'll post at some point. Noah lived decently long for being mostly solo as a druid, he got to 8th level for about an hour.. and got close to 8th varying times but the curse of the dangerous lowerdark... He had some cool little items, and one piece of sweet DM loot he created by devouring the power of two steward ark rings.

NE Druid of Moander, a summoner druid. I took a long break at one point and came back to finish him, and I feel as if he died well, and fittingly to a steward. I may come back to moander someday when it seems a group wants to do it.. As alone i hate to say it.. But it really was a hard experience- But, I'd say it was equally fun at times.

He met many people, made varying enemies, and even a few allies... But he did not keep in touch with them often. He was immensely religious, and kept to his faith in Moander even to his death, he died grinning with a prayer to moander on his lips.

Bug Reports / Wildshape Form Reset
October 05, 2014, 07:27:58 AM
I know it does this to re-apply bonuses granted by shapes but it also resets stats in that moment to original.. and if your hurt to a certain point the reset for mechanics reasons rather than rp reason can kill a char if their natural hp is lower than the form and they are hurt enough.. is there a way to fix this at all? It killed me earlier and was a cause of distress

THE CIRCLE OF UNENDING BLIGHT

Moander  is a widely feared god.. the lord of plagues, the lord of the wretched,  of abominations, and of the rot.. He heralds the end of the cycle of  nature.. But why stop there?.. Moander seeks to bring all life to the  end of its cycle eternally, he spreads blight and rot everywhere he  touches.. and there are those who serve him, who would spread that rot..  Spread his plagues, and disease.. The Circle Of Unending Blight is a  circle of such servants.. A circle comprised of his wretched servants,  led by blightbearers, the druids who have fallen to such a depraved view  of nature as to see the world at its strongest in the rot.. The world  is a dieing place, its infested with undead, and aberrations. The circle  see's no other path that suits the world better than to purge it of  those beings by bringing the world to its end, bringing the world to  rot... They will save their world by destroying it first.. If you love  TeamNature, or have always wanted to give it a shot.. But wanted to play  the darker, more evil side of it, the twisted warped side that borders  breaking the boundaries and entering a whole new level of chaos, the  Circle Of Unending Blight is the faction for you.

Player Faction:

Application: No, unless your story and theme would head that way, possible applications in the future

Recommended Alignment: NE,CE,CN are the alignments allowed by Moander. (if your playing a priest.). non-good, and non-lawful.

Recommended Race: Any, Monsters included (Except, undead and aberrations, those sort of things) Best? Elves, And Humans

Recommended Class(s): Barbarian,Druid,Sorcerer,Cleric,Ranger

Goals:
Spread the rot, corrupt others, fight the other aspects of nature, and more... (Spoilers)

NOT recommended for new players who fear a heavy challenge, based  in a hostile area, with many enemies and conflict, a challenging  concept.

FEED THE HUNGER

Personal Note:
This concept has a lot of potential, and many area's and small plots  have been put forth to be expanded on by those willing to put time and  effort into them. Team Nature can be lonely at times and it takes a good  patient attitude to keep at it. If your new, or old, but wanting to  join I'd be willing to help out anytime of course. You can find me on  IRC Mibbit chat, IC, can pm me on the forums, or in #Treehuggers the  nature channel until we've a large enough membership to found our own  channel.

//-this post is also heavily subject to changes over time, as it evolves and is changed by actions IG-//

Time for some cool shots! With some.. hints at the boons of a true Moanderite!:

THE ROT... SERVES TOGETHER

FEED THE ROT, FEED THE BLIGHT, SERVE MOANDER, SERVE THE CIRCLE

August 10, 2014, 05:43:22 AM
Hey just a post to let people know when the server is down for those who don't breeze on into mibbit often or are just checking forums yet not logging in. Currently the server is down until DM puts it back up.. figure may as well use this post for future times as well.

Suggestions / Suggestion: Boneyard Addition
August 08, 2014, 10:25:10 AM
Now whilst the boneyard is pretty wicked as it is... Perhaps it would make sense to have maybe little bone piles that people can actually scavenge for skeletons to animate?! I mean it is the Boneyard. Perhaps make it search rolls for bone piles to scavenge a skeleton here or there.

I was sitting there with my necro Leoric earlier and I was thinking... Wouldn't a few new types of upgrades be cool? some flavorful changes? some cool little additions that necromancers can use to create more diverse and new undead that also make them look cooler and different?

New Addition Idea's:

-"Infuse With Hellfire": Infuses undead with energies akin to the burning dead
Bonus: +1 Fire damage per upgrade
Visual: Combust visual on the undead

-"Infuse With Hoarfrost": Drawing upon the unnatural chill of undeathly powers you infuse these into the corpse
Bonus: +1 Cold Damage per upgrade
Visual: Glowing Blue Eyes (Or no visual for this one)

-"Infuse With The Nether": Drawing upon the negative energies of the nether, you infuse them so heavily into the undead, even its strikes leave the mark of such energies on their foes.
Bonus: +1 Negative Damage per upgrade
Visual: Glowing Red Eyes (Or no visual for this one)

-"Infest With Plague": Your desires to spread undeath and disease are strong, and you infuse this desire into your new carrier servants.
Bonus: An onhit plague that is fitting for undead to carry.

-"Imbue Hunger": The undead hunger for what they lost... And you intensify that hunger through dark magic, their ravenous hunger is reflected in their tendacy to feed on the foes they slay.
Bonus: Vampiric Regeneration +1 per upgrade
Visual: Bleeding visual

-"Infuse Shadow": Binds the essence of shadow unto your undead, strengthening them...
Bonus: Onhit: Drain Strength 1 Point: DC: 10

Feel free to leave your own ideas! Just some cool ones I thought up myself.

I think this would make sense as call lightning now calls down boulders instead of lightning, especially as the storm domain is aimed towards stormlike attributes! So suggestion? Just change it to lightning bolt that is granted instead of call lightning

Screen Shots & Obituaries / Markall, The Rotchild
May 17, 2014, 02:49:51 AM
Well! he was fun while i ran him :3 Sadly.. Seems he wasnt very interesting as i never could get any of his plans done :c Regardless I enjoyed him immensely.. A darker side of nature i loved experiencing! My first nature concept that i actually stuck to! It was a game of cat and mouse I knew i was destined to lose, but tried my hardest regardless. A moanderite druid who at first believed only in the rot more rather than moander himself, he spread the rot in the mire and eventually the Stewards of course took notice.. Unknowing of the hatred existing between the two he tried joining them at first and then it turned out to drive them all to try to hunt him!

They spared him once, after he swore to turn from the rot in return if they would show him a better way... And well.. They broke their promise! Guess they decided he was better off dead than purifying and began to hunt him again.. So he decided to embrace Moander entirely becoming a full rot druid. He killed his former friend Merrick who had betrayed him, and from there would stalk and hunt the Stewards.. Though he never got to kill any of them (It's hard to stock up on the supplies they can when your mostly solo!) he DID attain a decent level thanks to the druid options and some of the few who would quest with him! He got to 8th, which as always is where I die ;) (Shoulda seen it coming!)

Markall had much story to him I wish I could have lived out further, but alas.. The fate of bad guys is always the end of a hammer or blade! I like to think he kept some of the stewards on edge and created at least a little bit of excitement in his time~

I heavily suggest playing a rot druid, or a rot cleric, they are very fun, and extremely conflict-filled! Theres a LOT of plots out there that really it just needs the people to fuel, sadly I couldn't muster the numbers to get any support for them but you may have better luck in the future!

I didn't accumulate any loot in particular in my time with Markall, i'd say the best loot he had was his experiences and Rollplay with other players :) Thank you for all who interacted with him, and I hope he brought some fun into your character's lives as well

Off-topic Discussion / Internets Dead
May 14, 2014, 06:53:53 AM
Having to use my phone with mobile connection to post this, my home internet seems to be fried and I will work to fix it asap. Sorry to my party who I was questing with, it explains my horrid lag. My char sadly died to this lag, and though we discussed raising him before he died I'm not sure what will happen to his body after a reset :/ internet likely won't be up before a reset but I can hope. Hopefully be on sometime in the next few days.

PC Faction:
Circle Of Rotted Thorns

Type: Nature!

Alignments: CN, NE, CE, TN an exception if you can make it work around evil or questionable activities.

Classes:
Blightchild/Herald: Druid, Cleric (Moander Only)
Guardian: Barbarian, Druid (Druids who have not yet, or will not embrace Moander entirely, or those that follow other evil nature aspects such as Poison, Ooze, ect.)
Special: Contagion: Sorcerer Only (Specialized in the creation of new diseases and poisons)
Race: Any, Monsterous Included

The Circle Of Rotted Thorns is a druidic faction based in the moldmire, majority is faithful to Moander and other druids and followers have to recognize Moanders superiority (they can however lie about it and secretly of course believe their god is superior) The faction exists to band together outcast druids and form a hierachy around service to Moander and spreading rot, disease, and pestilence as opposed to spreading nature. They seek ways to tap into the ley and either bend it to achieve their goals in spreading rot... Or corrupt it and utilize it anyways. The leader, Markall a druid of moander who loosely had his beliefs since being rejected from the stewards has taken his duties and service to Moander more serious and with a passion, embracing his rot stronger than ever and seeks to use the circle not only to spread rot.. But to eventually oppose the stewards hen they grow enough in strength. The machine is irrelevant to them, and they care little about it.

Goals:
-Corrupt a source of ley and attain access to the ley line directly
-Create a virulent pestilence to ravage existing nature, people, and aberrant-kind
-Spread rot everywhere
-Protect the Moldmire and grow the rot immensely there
-Form a proper circle within the moldmire, their own twisted "Ark" to mock the stewards and to use as a place in which to branch out
-Form an "Abomination" Of Moander, and create various spawn to protect it.
-Over time, implant every follower of the circle, Moanderite or not with "The Seed Of Rot"

Many goals! Lots of cool opportunities!

Roles:

Blightchild/Herald: These druids, embracing the rot entirely tap into the ley to bring about rot where they go in Moanders name, they seek to increase the rot within themselves, and to find sources of ley to warp the lines of ley into Moanders grasp. They spread diseases created by the Blightmakers, and are the leaders of the Circle Of Rotted Thorns.

The priestly Blightchildren are the main recruiters for the circle, corrupting other druids, and convincing others of the superiority of the rot.. Though they are not the leaders they have the divine connection to Moander and are respected highly.

Guardians: Barbarians who succumb to the influence of the rot become its guardians, they fight with feverish fanatacism to protect those who spread the rot, and to protect places of rot. They slaughter animals and hew down trees and plants to bring to the circle so that the material may be rotted and spread.

Druids who have not yet accepted Moander, or who follow other evil aspects of nature like ooze, poison, disease (rather than rot), or evil elemental gods are not given the title of Blightchild Or Herald and are delegated Guardian status, they perform the same services that Barbarians do, but also perform the services adhering to their druidic beliefs as well.. However they like any other member of the circle of rotted thorns must eventually accept the seed of rot.. This of course is the main method why some druids eventually would fall to Moanders influence, though they most certainly can endure!

Contagion: This special and rare position within the circle is given only to sorcerers who specialize specifically in creating diseases and rotting plagues and venoms to be spread to the world, regarded as valuable and important many members including blightchildren will get what the Contagions need to accomplish their tasks. This is a rare position however, and only a few exist in the circle at any time.

Specific Attire: All within the circle no matter what they don must cover it in a variety of molds, or rotted vegetation. But the most specific mark of a member of the Rotted Thorn circle is a circlet of rotted vines and vegetation, with thorns all over the assemblage worn on the head at -all- times

Not recommended for new players, this is taking nature to a higher level of difficulty, and players will be immersed in a hostile enviroment, and expect conflict with many

Applications?: Possible, depends on how far you take it.

Tired of being that lonely necromancer?.. Tired of being so divided as necromancers that it seems nothing immense can be accomplished?.. Seeking a safe heaven to practice necromancy and spread undeath?.. Join the conclave of bones...

The concept idea is generally a group of necromancers who aspire to recruit more warriors, rogues, and other people with promises of power to slowly build a society revolving around undeath and necromantic advancements. Rather than just practicing necromancy, they look to the future of necromancy, and what heights they can aspire too. The necromancers will utilize joint skills to create legions of undead to defend their home, collect necromantic artifacts to increase their power, and try to eventually expand the boneyard and its architecture to create a safe heaven for their practice.. Highly inspired by Porenius Herasius they also seek all knowledge on him possible.

Alignments?: CE, NE, and LE, CN -could- work but likely would fall to evil over time

Classes? Fighter, Barbarian, Wizard, Sorcerer, Bard, Rogue. Monk if played right

A society can't survive depending on magic alone, though dominated by necromancy.. Warriors and the like have their place as gaurdians or in some cases.. If they truly desire it.. Experiments...

All kinds of necromantic concepts work with this, a great chance to get some experience with the sorcerer necromantic perks, new and old. You could even work Hematologist into this if you wanted as you "study the magics hidden within the blood.. Maybe corrupting it even".

Optional Add-On Concept: Former Noble Or Citizen Of City Of Bones: A former necromancer from the highly chaotic but organized hierachy of the city of undeath, or a former gaurdian or warrior who dwelled in the dark city of black arts. Nobles tend to be very fanatically devoted to their art and building a society for their art (like my character Lothii) and citizens tend to be less fanatical about the art itself and more aimed towards learning or maintaining the society.

The city of bones was a hierachy of undead and mortal necromancer nobles who served a "Archlord" a immensely powerful necromancer who held the most prestige and power. Ascension amongst nobility was granted by higher ranking officials, and no one has ever taken the archlords place. A magocracy at its darkest but best, the citizens or non-necromancer undead or mortals tended to the cities needs and ran simple businesses. Citizen necromancers (those that chose not to participate in politics) often ran shops for necromantic material or one dark end or another.

The ultimate goal of the necromancers is to form a semblance and small version of the former glory of the city of bones, to return a magocracy and create a place in which to spearhead the advances of necromancy.. They aren't hostile towards visitors, and even want their haven open to all.. As long as they come in peace.. Otherwise destruction is to be swift.. And of course.. More visitors means more material.. New bloods..

Welp! she was fun while i had her :) ive always loved ooze cultists and this is my third ooze cultist. two of mine were in old port before chapter 3 ended, and this one proved to be much more satisfying! I -will- play another in the future as im one of those bad-habited people who favors some concepts over others (necromancers and ooze cultists obviously) But for now.. time for something fresh.. keep an eye out for my future watcher eh? *evil laugh* She in total converted 7 people, and recruited another. She managed to reach 8th level with 2k from 9 but died fighting an epic boss and died at 7th level with 2k from 8.

I had a wild ride and i want to thank all my cultists and other pcs who interracted with her. Specifically to Haston Sannal, you crafty devil, my first convert who stuck through with me till the end, badass fighter and my favorite companion with this char. Next to Hamish O' Neill, her strongest ally and close friend, one of her few. Toughest bastard i ever knew who made the right choice for himself and his crew even if he didn't want to, your an awesome faction leader and im going to miss interacting with you. Lastly to Grousch, who though we had a short-lived teamwork was my second favorite cultist, you rollplay amazingly, and were a scary mofo!

Theres a lot of people i'd love to thank but those three stood out amongst the others. To our fabulous DM team, i'd love to thank Paha, Howland, Talir, Nuclear Catastrophe, Jaydemoon, and Mira, and last but not least Caster for your amazing DMing and interactions, you all helped me a lot and I want to apologize for bugging the crap out of you!

My favorite Event? Hands down, D_I Your ooze-lich event was intense and simply amazing, i hadn't had so much fun on a event since my necromancer conclavist ended up alongside a ton of others inside the soul archive for the most random adventure!

I had three pieces of DM loot that i won't go into detail about but will give you there names:
-Dissolved Plate
-Slimed Holy Symbol Of Ghaunadaur
-Boots of [Insert Drow Name Here too complicated to remember]

I want to say good luck to all you, and I heavily advise joining up with Team Ooze its amazing, and a hell lot of fun, and don't feel like everythings been done.. i STILL have ton of plot ideas for the ooze cult.. which you may see in the future on my next cultist hehehehehehehe. BUT FOR NOW, keep your eyes wide open for my watcher!

Cheers EFU :) ON TO THE SCREENIES

A YOUNG OOZE CULT

Kauvra and Emelia and Haston workin, being awesome, and Kauvra showing off her OPness of Necromancy

Awakening an ooze lich and going on a wild adventure involving many oozes and a shadow master.

She was insane yes, she tore out her eyeballs, and naturally.. SHE WANTED THEM BACK she prayed a LOT

we loved rituals yes, and i loved them very much. THIS IS NOT THE END OF THE RISE OF PARADISE HAHAHAHA, for another shall take her place to try to bring it about ;)

The one insight to her powers i will give: Her turn undead did acid damage, it was cool, her turn undead was the bomb and i loved RPing it. Thats her in front of the cell i got for our faction which i sadly only got to use once in my time in the ooze cult.. though its there for you future cults!!

sadly folks, thats all the screenies i got to take that are worth posting or don't give away spoilers! I loved this pc, and enjoyed her immensely. Team ooze always in your heart, whether original or not.. you can't hide from it >;)

Have fun EFU!

Suggestions / Spell Immunity: Grease/Web
April 26, 2014, 02:21:08 AM
Though cool I've noticed these tend not to grant immunity if the spell is cast just around the person they aren't immune to it at all, so unless it is cast directly on them, they aren't immune, and additionally its only the initial save, following that you are affected by the spell completely normally. I noticed this as I cast grease on the ground then walked into it which then I was totally affected :/ Or when i get something to summon a web spider and then i run into its web and am webbed.

Suggestion? Perhaps this can be fixed somehow? If not, then items with such immunities be altered slightly if possible. Relatively small thing, but i thought worth mentioning. Was not sure whether to add this to the bugs section or here.

Who else is gonna werewolf out and witness that beautiful red moon tomorrow night? :) I personally am going on a moonlit walk tomorrow.

The Cult Of The Elder Eye

The Cult Of Ghaunadaur, born of outcasts, madmen, rebels, monsters, exiles, and those hungry enough for power that they would lower themselves to any depravity.. Ghaunadaur is the lord of ooze, rebellion against tyranny, and the god of those who would strive for greater things than they are born unto, who would destroy anything that threatened them, and would sacrifice everything to their god, of course.. Mostly others.. He is the god who see's all of his faithful as equal not separated by race, talent, and weakness.. For those who serve the elder eye will banish weakness and become strong, only your actions in service of the elder eye determine your status as a being.. They rule the sewers, fight the chosen, spread like a plague across everywhere and spread their faith.. They have risen and been defeated countless times, but always they re-emerge as no one can truly defeat the ooze. Their latest batch.. May prove to be more than their predecessors however.. Stronger than those before them, more secure, and with allies.. The cult may perhaps establish a permanent fixture in lower.. They are everywhere when you least expect them.. A watcher in upper.. A thug in lower.. A smiling prefect.. A gang leader.. The local potion brewer.. Your local "hero".. Anyone could be a ooze cultist.. And you could be one of them.

Suggestions / Quest Take Limits Lowered
April 13, 2014, 03:47:50 AM
Today noticed I couldn't do Zif Uroti's when i've only done it four times two of which i could not finish. Seems it has a 4 quest take limit.. Limits like these would make it a lot harder to level as players slowly reach them.. Is it only in this quest? Or on all, in any case could the quest take limit be upped or removed entirely for this quest?

Suggestions / Custom Armor: Add Tabard capability
April 08, 2014, 05:08:06 AM
pretty sure i'm not the only one who wishes they could add one of the loincloth robe models to their heavy armor for a more order-ish look or more religous look. Would be cool if you could add one of those specific robe models to heavy armor.
