Suggestions / Practiced Spellcaster feat
April 21, 2020, 07:37:21 AM
I'd like to propose this feat be added. I think it's cool, a lot of fun and opens up many interesting multiclass options. Maybe it would have to be adjusted to fit EfU but I think it'd be fine as is.

For those who are unfamiliar with the feat,
[hide]Choose a spellcasting class that you possess. Your spells cast from that class are more powerful.
Prerequisite: Spellcraft 4 ranks.
Benefit: Your caster level for the chosen spellcasting class increases by +4. This can't increase your caster level beyond your HD. However, even if you can't benefit from the full bonus immediately, if you later gain non-caster-level HD you maybe able to apply the rest of the bonus.
For example, a human 5th-level cleric/3rd-level fighter who selects this feat would increase his cleric caster level from 5th to 8th (since he has 8 HD). If he later gained a fighter level, he would gain the remainder of the bonus and his cleric caster level would become 9th (since he now has 9 HD).
A character with two or more spellcasting classes (such as a bard/sorcerer or a ranger/druid) must choose which class gains the feat's effect.
This does not affect your spells per day or spells known, it only increases your caster level, which would help you penetrate SR and increase the duration and other effects of your spells.
Special: You may select this feat multiple times. Each time you choose it, you must apply it to a different spellcasting class. For instance, a 4th-level cleric/5th-level wizard who had selected this feat twice would cast cleric spells as an 8th-level caster and wizard spells as a 9th-level caster. [/hide]

Bug Reports / Writ of Immutability Description
April 13, 2020, 04:43:23 PM
I don't think it's supposed to say these things. Except the part about it not being wise to eat it. I'm sure that's accurate in any case.

Suggestions / Give third respawn option
October 07, 2019, 02:58:27 AM
In short, provide the additional option of respawning at your spawn point.

In case Ring 100 and the spot where you died aren't very favorable options to you.

Bug Reports / Another QA accessible without quest accepted
September 16, 2019, 11:04:14 PM
Myself and another player went to the Cave of Grandfathers (I think it's called?) and the area was accessible without accepting the quest. It was also accessible to a PC who was too high level.

Bug Reports / QA accessible without quest accepted

Not sure how spoilery a bug report can be but I'm gonna try keep it to a minimum.

A few of us did the Canalside Manor quest only to learn afterwards we hadn't accepted the quest despite entering the area just fine. Seemed like that wasn't working as intended.

Selected animal domain (and earth domain) for my cleric but ended up defaulting to earth summoning theme, making the animal domain less useful. Not sure if this is a bug but seems weird to receive a summoning theme that doesn't benefit from animal domain.

Bug Reports / Duplicate Character Names Screw Quests
August 06, 2019, 11:41:43 PM
Characters that share exact names screw with quests in a few ways. This is what's been encountered so far:

The pair of them cannot take a quest together even if the minimum party size is 2. This was encountered trying to accept the magic manor quest in Ticker Square.

If more PCs are involved and a quest is accepted, only one of them is added. In our case, the person who spoke with the NPC and received the quest token did not receive the quest in their journal. This was encountered when accepting the frog quest in the Ponds.

If one of them accepted a quest the other could not be added afterwards using the quest token. This was encountered when attempting to add one of the PCs to the kobold quest in the Ponds.

It's possible that if one PC accepts and completes a quest then the other cannot take it. This possibly occurred when one PC couldn't take the cheese rat quest in Ticker Square after the other had finished it. I wasn't able to confirm this for the bug report as I was able to accept and finish a quest that the other character had also done. In that case it was the haunted opera that worked out fine.

Bug Reports / Wall of Fire DC
February 15, 2019, 02:19:03 AM
A creature passed through my wall of fire but the DC was only 14, instead of 14 + other modifiers.

The DC appears to work fine when the spell is cast if creatures are immediately caught in it but passing through it afterwards appears to mess things up.
