Seem to make sense to have these useable by outcast PCs or at least by Druids as she does offer a special shop via dialogue check for Druid Class. Perhaps non-druids can pay a fee to use them? NPC is the Sandstone Caves in the zone directly to the left of the Gate of Roses when exiting the Krak.

SUGGESTION:

Add spells Ray of Frost and Acid Splash to Druid Cantrips/Orisions.  Or perhaps just for druids with Evocation feat investments.

REASONING

  • - With EfU:SOI changes to Druid, much more incentive to go GSF Evoc, but currently such a druid only has fire Cantrips
  • - Druids now have very many Cold and Earth/Sand/Acid spells in their spell book (if you are of the mind that earth/sand/acid are all of one family)
  • - Fits the new Druid playstyle/theme of bieng elementalists in general
  • - GReat QoL change for "Caster" archetype Druids

REASONING: EXPANDED

With Druids being largely pushed toward more of an "Elementalist" approach/playstyle to the class I feel it would make a lot of sense for them to be given access to Elemental Cantrips other than just Flare.

This would be a  big QoL change for GSF Evoc Druids who happen to want to choose an element other than Fire as their Elemental Focus (aka Flame Weapon Element)

One of the great things about the GSF Evoc changes to the server overall, and probably part of the reason for them I would guess, has been  giving cantrips a little more oomph so that builds which lean hard into the "Caster" archetype have better baseline damage options that reflect their chosen element.

At the very least the Frost Ray Cantrip makes sense given they have Cold spells in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th circle...

I feel a case can be made for Acid Splash as well, especially if one rolls Acid and the Earth/Sand Pierce/Bludgeon damage up into one category... which also brings me to another suggestion that perhaps deserves its own post.... but if this logic is followed then it makes sense to have these sand/earth spells with pierce/bludgeon damage apply the Acid GSF Evoc effect.

Granted, I don't really see to many choosing  Lightning/Electricity given the removal of Summon Storm and  that I have yet to see it rain IG but perhaps I am missing something here. Regardless the above still holds true.

Self-explanatory. Brings this in-line with the other similar spells that Druids can cast but are not effected by.

THE TIDE RISES

Recruiting ELVES for the ELVENTIDE (Yes I am stealing the name Gordan came up with cause he is gone for now).

Other non-humans welcome. You can be part of the Elventide or call yourselves your own race-tide. The Hintide, the Dwarventide, the Gnomentide. Whatever works. Could just call it the Pondstide? Either way.. The Tides shall Rise!

PS: Explicitly and outwardly Non-establishment (read: non-ward) humans also welcome. Bandits, druids, freaks, weirdos, what-have-you...

- Anti-Establishment/Ward/King/Count
- Nature Oriented. Druids, feylings, and savages of all kinds welcome, bust out those Loincloths!
- Working to protect the Land and prepare for as much of it to be saved as possible when the Nothing Breaks through, it is said there are many "islands" in the Dark Sea of the Nothing... we will work to make this "island" as big as possible
- Band together to resist the tyranny and oppression of the Ward and/or Countsmen (They are just edge-wards anyway)
- Band together to resist Ishmenka and his Bonersmilers despite their generous offer to kill us all and make us undead

Druids get Sleep already and it would flesh out the options for an Enchantment druid as there is something of a gap between Sleep at Circle 1 and Hold Monster at circle 4. (yes there is hold animal at circle 2 but that really doesnt see a whole lot of mileage from my experience).

On a related note I am curious if the SF/GSF Necromancy synergies that apply to Sleep also apply to foes that get put to sleep via Slumber, and if not humbly suggest that be the case.

ie:

Sleep
Spell Focus: Enchantment: Number of creatures that can fall asleep is doubled.
Spell Focus: Necromancy: Instead of peaceful sleep, the creature experiences horrible nightmares and suffers Doom spell for sleep duration + 5 rounds after waking.
Greater Spell Focus: Necromancy: Doom's duration after waking is increased to 5 + (1 round per caster level).

SKRATTI FACTION OUTLINE

THE SKRATTI ARCH-PACK

These are the gods, the pantheon, that the Skratti follow. Gnipir and his Brood are ancient gods that take the form of a pack of massive wolves, whom originated in the same world as the King and Count and were able to somehow follow their trail to The City.

Many of the Arch-Pack were believed to be lost in the transition, but these are those whom we know of now.

GNIPIR
(The Winter Wolf. The Father of Stories. The Wyrdfather)

Patriarch of the Skratti Arch-Pack, Gnipir is a wise old wolf that has long sought to guide and protect men and other races. The Father of Stories would often take the form of a man and come down from the mountains in the depths of Winter acting as a traveler. He would join them as they sat around their fires telling stories to pass the long nights to hear their tales, and to share some of his own. Thus did he teach them of Gnipir, of Hroth, of Valgeri and so forth without them ever realizing who it was among them. In the end times Gnipir shall let loose one great and final Howl that will summon to his hall all those Scribed in the Book of Bones.

HROTH
(Hroth the Black. The Black Wolf)

Gnipir's firstborn, whom found cause to disagree with his father long ago,  though he lost the ensuing conflict and was unable to prevent Gnipir's will from being done. Since then he has always contended with Gnipir's decisions, and is known for seeking out forbidden knowledge and aspects. It is said that we experience nighttime because Hroth's incessant seeking pierced the veil and allowed darkness dominion over half the sky each turning. He beleives he does what must be done, when others are unable and willing to do so.

VALGERI:
(Valgeri the Immoveable. The Ironhide. Valgeri Ironhide)

The second son of Gnipir, ever loyal to his father and though slow to anger his ferocity in battle is unmatched once fully roused. Valgeri lays astride the path to Gnipir's Den, his Hall, in order to prevent the passage of Hroth or anyone else deemed unworthy. Even larger than his father, Valgeri's hide is studded with the weapons of the countless who have tried to pass him and failed.

THE STORMDOTTIR
(The Forgotten Daughter, Actual Name Unknown)

One of Gnipir's daughters who was though lost until she appeared to Solomyn in his dreams to enlist his aid in freeing her as his family holds ancestral ties to her. She reveres the sudden twist of fate, where all things change and souls are stripped bare for their truth to be seen... the moments that remind one that anything is possible. Her aspect is the Storm, both of the mundane types and as a sudden storm of fate that leaves everything in its path changed.

ROLES

Runekeepers: Protectors and Scribes of the Book of Bones. Spiritual guides and mentors to the Skratti as a whole.
Wyrdseekers: Gather stories of the fallen to be given to the Runekeepers for Scribing. Seek out and try to guide Wyrds of great potential among the yet living.
Wyrdspeakers: Teach of, speak of, or perform works derived from the stories in the Book sharing the Wyrds within to ensure they are remembered truly.
Sentinels: The Martial guardians of the Skratti. Often dedicated to Valgeri.
??Fangs??: Some rumors are whispered regarding the existence of an order of assassins in the Skratti whom call themselves Fangs, or the Fangs of Hroth. But... those are just rumors... right?

THE BOOK OF BONES

The mysterious Tome in which are Scribed the Wyrds of the Fallen. The Skratti believe any whom have their story so scribed within has their soul protected from joining the faceless sea of the Forgotten Dead that is the Nothing.

This item says it gives dodge in the description, yet the feat does not show on character sheet when equipped. Obtained from Bog Ogre quest in Ring 94

This is crushing. Had nothing but positive experiences with Diz-e. He will be missed.

Moonspear ranks have been thinned of late and are in a prime state for new blood. We are currently hooked into multiple plots with potentially significant server impact and I strongly encourage anyone who has considered rolling up a Retainer of this House to do so now! Feel free to reach out to Glyph or VP if you want to discuss potential concepts, but there is plenty of room for many types of PCs.

Plots currently related to The Nothing, The Throne of the City, Prince Trystan... plenty of political subplots if that is your thing... and some juicy secrets.

Alignments: LN, LG, CN, CG, TN for the most part. Some Evil concepts might fit as well, maybe.

Most of the Ancients have a Ritual Site where Druid PCs can perform scripted Ley Rituals.  Ring 98 is the only Ring in which the Ley Roads currently work for passage around the ring. It would be neat, and make sense for a Ley Road Gate (opened via Ley Ritual like the other such Gates) near the Mushroom Court as it lays in the same Ring.

Quite frustrating to lose the guardians/henchmen/companions one can get from the various druid ritual altar to a crash. A reclaim tool like used wit undead would be grand.
