Off-topic Discussion / Clood's Fundraiser
July 20, 2022, 07:46:20 PM
Hey guys, it's me. After the suggestion for this was given to me, I've been bouncing the idea around in my head for various reasons. I didn't know quite what to put as the cover photo, so it's just a simple picture of Milo, my cat.

Thank you for even just taking the time to read over it.

My sister.. For neither of us could be saved.

Brie was a fantastic character. Playing as Iono and being able to see her story through both Sorcha -and- Brie was a blast. Can't wait to see your next one.
#4
Said it on the Discord. Putting it on the forums. I was sort of on a break with Iono, but with him dead. I'm just gonna' be on an indefinite hiatus.

Gilthalas was an amazing character!

Forgive me if this is all badly written and of course, the obit won't be as great as most other peoples. Firstly, a thank you to TheCisco for the awesome screenshots she had taken of Run along the way.

I wouldn't say Run was very powerful, but he definitely had a lot more power in him than my last major PC, Allistar. Run has definitely taken the cake for me with my most enjoyable PC, partly because of his death, which I believe was well done with everyone involved.

A special thank you goes to every druid, who helped shape and turn Run from a child to a man-child. Sunspyre, Ishraq, and Sunpurse also all get a shout out for those heart-racing and tense moments with Run. Thirdly, my main man Bearic for helping and dealing with my ass for the Krokloz plot.

Backstory
[hide]Run was only seventeen. He was quite literally a child in my eyes. Someone with a boyish nature added to the bleak harshness of the Ponds. Every now and then he mentioned he had spent seven turnings hiding within the forests of the Weald. When he was ten, his home was burned down by people he later thought to be Moonspear Retainers. This left a deep hatred of retainers within him until he came across an Archer within the forest. The archer had been injured while he was hunting and the boy stayed with him for multiple nights. The archer told him of a Peerage where everyone was united against one thing, with a few outliers. Run looked to this man and believed him, his hatred for Retainers washed away. He would never come to find out what happened to this strange archer, but he did often describe his bow. One of crystal and ivory, who's arrows never missed. After the archer and Run parted ways, Run made his way to Willowgrove Park.[/hide]

The promise to J'Heck
[hide]The man who took Run in and gave him a home, Scars was a big influence on the boys early time in the Ponds. One day, when the Pallid threatened to attack, Scars told Run to stay behind in the Ponds and protect it in his absence. The next time Run would see Scars was when Scars was being hanged. Run decided to take it upon himself to honor the man's last wish, and to retrieve the blade he held.
[/hide]

Krokloz Reborn
[hide]After recovering Krokloz, a sword passed down within the Druids, Run sought to finish what was stared with the first wielder. He ventured deep into the earth for a ritual to complete the sword. With the girl he vowed to protect above all others, they fought tooth and nail against creatures of the earth and Mists. The girl was wounded severely, which caused Run to go into a sort of rampage, the first of only a few. Afterwards, the two were trapped within and Run had to muster all of his strength to make a path through the crumbled earth around him.

[/hide]

Everything else that was major I think?
[hide]Run never really made an attempt to hide that he was a changeling. Which eventually caused his death. Instead he tried to prove to others that there was a difference between Changeling and Student. This was an attempt to protect Elke, though he would never admit it. He opposed the Winter Court, trying to prolong the warm weather as he viewed Winter to not be harmful to the ponds, but to the Peerage as well. He also was a part of the force fighting back Yevethax, staying behind to make sure that everyone could get out.

[/hide]

Some of the Hijinks Run did:
[hide]
Had a suit made for a Peerage party and even attended:

Offered mysteriously appearing pretzels to a former Blackjack:

Sparred random people in the shivering cold of the Ponds:

And many more that I didn't screenshot 'cause I'm a bad person!
[/hide]

The End.
[hide]I'm not gonna spoil much about what led to Run's death because it could be found out IG. But I will share some screenshots.

[/hide]

Thank you. Run was amazing to play.
Forgot to add... This was the song I listened to during his death: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pa-t62RgKj4

Screen Shots & Obituaries / Chiba's Number 1 Fan
November 11, 2021, 04:08:14 AM

Hello, hello. Once upon a time (merely 10 to 15 minutes ago), I sat upon my chair and had a think. I thunked the thought of playing a Goblin and adding a little bit of spice to an otherwise quiet night, perhaps giving some who would be around a bit of a laugh. Thus Greepmo was created.

You see! Greepmo was upset, for there were not a single Goblin lady for him to woo. He trained and trained to get in his best shape before setting off from his little hideout. He spoke with other Goblins and learned of a man named Chiba, the strongest man. Greepmo just knew that Chiba could help Greepmo get his love life back on track. So he set out to the Peerage with one thing in mind. The holy man that was Tsurigi Chiba!

TL;DR

SCREENSHOTS

Thank you, I had a great laugh. And to those who were there, I hope I brightened your day/night.

The sky is Still.

Woohoo! I really enjoyed playing as Quin and it was also a blast to introduce Minnesota to EFU.

So. Quin Stillsky. My third character and one I had quite a few plans for. I convinced my housemates to play EFU an' make brothers of Quin, making the Stillsky Three. Leon, the youngest, Quin, the middle-child, and Olmar, the oldest. I can't tell you much of Leon's backstory, his player will need to make an Obit.

GOALS!

- My main goal for Quin was to cause some chaos -eventually-. Where as I tried to create unity with Allistar, I had decided to go the other route and just mess with people, separate the Houses, cause anarchy.
- I uh.. I didn't really have any goals. Other than that I was going to eventually make Quin into a villain. :p
I have learned that pretty simple goals, as well as code set for the character, will take me pretty far. I mean, creating Allistar, I didn't have -any- long term goals for him.

Backstory.

The Stillsky family was a pretty big family that scorned any of the members who dared adventure out instead of sitting pretty and learning an art or trade. Bartholomew Stillsky, Leon, Quin, and Olmar's father urged Quin to be a painter but Quin was too rowdy, constantly getting into fights with his brothers and sisters. His family routinely served both Sunpurse and Velstra, only focusing on the collection of groat so that one day the family would be recognized as a Noble House and be granted a seat upon the Council of Peers.

Quin was raised to be a painter like his father, as well as a fencer, but he would constantly get into brawls, coming home beaten and bloody, much to his family's dismay. He would go on doing this for years, until he met Karth, a drunkard half-orc who was notoriously known for beating anyone who'd dare cross him. After poking and prodding the half-orc, Quin was severely injured. This caused Quin to view the half-orc as a sort of noble figure, calling him Ser Karth. For the next few years, Quin would return home barely hanging onto consciousness due to Karth beating him senseless. Quin would refer to these beatings as 'training'. Quin forced himself to believe that Karth taught him a 'code', which he lives by.

And then, when Quin was 20 years old, his father's estate was burned down, killing every Stillsky but Quin, Leon, and Olmar. The latter two were forced to live with the knowledge of being the last Stillskys, but Quin sought to be rid of the memories and eventually forced himself to warp his own memories, believing that his father had sent him off due to his behavior. He arrives in the central part of the 99th ward and sets off to prove to his father that a Stillsky man did not have to rely on his family to live a successful life.

Sadly, because I'm a terrible player, I do not have any screenshots. Nor did I have any loot. See you later!

Thank you for making the last part of Allistar's journey fantastic, and I'm really glad I gave your character some story.

After being gone for so long, Allistar Elin perished.

Awwww man, After having only 98 minutes of playtime in Nevewinter Nights, my playtime has since shot up to 230 hours after discovering EFU.
Allistar was really a blast to play, at first he was full of wonderment and curiosity, before eventually becoming someone who felt... Lost, for lack of a better word. His only desire was peace amongst the houses, as he failed to understand the divide between the King and the Count. In some places, he succeeded; however, in others, he failed.

He quickly became attached to Fleta Blacke and looked up to her, amongst two others. In his final moments, she was the sole person he thought about.

Huntsman of the Vale, Grand Master Marksman of the Weald, Guild Leader, Boss, Huntsmaster. All of these were titles that Allistar was called by. After his most recent return, and the mangling of his arm, he felt he didn't deserve these titles, as he was no longer able to use the tool that defined them: his bow.

Thanks to everyone for making my first experience in EFU great! I plan on sticking around for a while.

Now onto the screenshots and all that, though I don't have that many:
Character Sheet thingy:

Allistar in his Velstran tunic:

A duel with someone he held in high regard, in a hope to improve his swordsmanship... Maybe to impress Fleta.

A broken promise...

Aaaaand finally, the loot:
His bow, which allowed many of his abilities:

Gloves, barely worn:

And an amulet, heavily used and seeming to only bare a small amount of powerful magic:
