General Discussion / Re: V5 Feedback Thread

Hi I just wanted to leave a positive note.

The mystery and extensive but not difficult to grasp Lore of this setting is amazing and makes you wish to explore the Rings, but also engage with factions, NPCs and books. It's great how something like this is made by a team of enthusiastic hobbyists (not to discredit).

Good job.

Suggestions / Discord Channel - #efu-concepts
March 07, 2019, 07:35:49 PM
Hey DM's,

People like to talk alot about concepts anyway, and sharing some of that creativity and letting others pickup some ideas you have might be fun, too.
Also for creating groupconcepts such a channel would be a boon, I generally think the best RP brews from people grouping up together in player factions.

So maybe add such a channel.

Hey,

In efu:r there was a head model of a guy with an enormous stereotypical wizard's hat.
Great for a cheesy or light-hearted wizard guy.

Readd it?

He ded men.
WTB pvp guide 4 dummays.

He hasn't achieved anything special besides the tourney, but I really enjoyed the SNAKE-RP, and the casual quest-squad.

Can reccomend strength rogue if you never want to be over-encumbered.
11/10 wouldn't mind not being over-encumbered again.

Wanted to confirm this is fixed. Well done, thanks.  ;D

Hematologist - The idea that the blood is what sparks the talent within many young sorcerers is well known throughout the lands, and some sorcerers take this research to heart, studying the blood of others and pushing the limits of their own. This makes them more privy to the expertise of a physician, for good or ill, while the research is often used to strengthen the sorcerer's own physical form, empowered by what magic courses through their veins.

Level 1: +2 Fortitude Save, Drawn blood can produce magical benefits, Blood Track 5/day player tool (use on PC blood vials)

The subject of the topic and the marked part of the perk is what isn't working.

I've drawn alot of blood from players to reach this conclusion.
Also drawn at least like 50x my own blood (because alchemy-reasons).

Hello, the House Nephezar Guards inside their HQ have simply Placeholder as description.
They are too awesome for placeholders :D.

Please keep everything as IC as you can in order for an immersive experience.

However you should put up huge OOC signs about the "IC danger" of spoiling something, and state your dislike of it.
Then, if someone spoils it anyway, you should bring terrible IC pain upon them.

What you said, it seems, is the best compromise there is for the situation :).

Allow selling keys 100 - 95, then turn all the next keys into "Cursed Key". stating it doesn't want to leave the inventory or keyring of the player.
Something like that. Just a thought.

Hello,

The quest which you accept near the exit to Ring 100, at the Wagner guy, doesn't give you gold at the reward part at the Merchant Guild while talking to the female Trader NPC.
The dialogue implies she is giving you gold.

I think looking at the whole Glitt  "feel", and their hillarious HQ, I get more of a "Pond" impression than anything else.
It's fun to have a wannabe Noble House but I think that should've been done differently perhaps, like childish knights instead of farmer / hicks, because I think the whole farmer / hick thing should've been more of a Pond exclusive.

At the moment Pond seems lackluster to provide opportunities towards PC's that are non-changeling, non-monsterous, non-bandit.
It would be great if a Glitt-like structure was provided for all the Pond-themed adventurers.

Because of Glitt it seems the Peerage is thriving with PC's that could've or should've been Pond PC's instead.

Creating a balance between the three hubs, not equal but at least populated enough to make it all viable options, I think should be a priority.

BTW I think all the Glitt PLAYERS are great. Even the faction itself. I am just looking at the balance of things.

Can you tell what kind of plans were there for if Ascensionists or Ibrandulites won the Cult War instead?

Hey staff,

I made a Cleric, and I began with a "Broken Relic" max spellcircle 3, domain: Universal.
There is a relic store that sells relics for 200gp max spell circle 2, domain: all the primary domains.

There is no point in the relic store in it's current form.

I just wanted to inform you of this.

Thanks.

I love EfU because it's brutal, dark, has a ton of "grey" characters PC and NPC's alike and I hope EfU will continue with this darker setting than what most other servers have.
It's my hope that FD's, permadeaths etcetera make more of a return. Ysonide was fantastic, so much death and the real consequence of it made it feel so important and awesome.

I was sad to hear when Melinda Bresley's event the permadeaths weren't enforced due to some blue NPC's. I think some people that should've been dead, lived on, despite not having encountered the issue in the first place, but I can understand this.

The OOC votes in the Dhimani rebellion was terrible immersion breaking and alot of people wanted to walk to loyalist then quickly switched neutral when seeing the odds. I feel sorry for the loyalist side.
Maybe it is better if you organised it in a way that both sides would be elsewhere in Sanctuary instead of the same room.

I only played Efu:R and I'm kind of sad to see it was Dhimani that lead the Ysonide assault and made the decision to attack. He is a NPC. The player choice was that we sided with him over Bresley.
It should have been a player initiative, maybe with some DM pushing, but no a NPC thing. Ysonide has been in the back of my head for YEARS of playing.
The carrier wasnt even a PC initiative it was just Dhimani again. Players should have been scavenging parts in harrowing difficult DM quests or something. Like how Oily Bones were sometimes handled.
And then during the building phase, maybe have had a choice in the weaponary. Maybe propose some versions of plans of the assault on Ysonide instead of 1 path, the Dhimani path.

But I understand the DM's don't have unlimited time to just make all of this so if the way it was handled was due to time constrataints and a desire to move on then I fully understand.

Giving feedback really feels like complaining, but I mean nothing by it.
This server is essentially "free" and a hobby its not even a product. We don't have actual rights :P. Everything done is appreciated!!

Alot of anti necromancy sentinent at the moment seemingly. Makes this faction great for plots, story, action. :) I approve.
