Over the past decade of writing stories together the creativity and passion of this community has been a highlight of my days. I cannot express the comfort and joy that you've all provided for me, and the influence that you've had in shaping my life. EFU has been more than my favorite game: It's my favorite story, my side project at the office, and the source of many of my friendships. I would not be the person that I am today if it weren't for this community. You've been a second home to me for a third of my life and I will always treasure the time we spent here together.

There has always been something wonderful that is unique in EFU, and throughout the years I have always felt compelled to advocate for preserving the things which made this place so magical to me. Even when we had creative differences in our community I felt that we shared an understanding that we were working on the same team toward that common goal. EFU hasn't felt like that to me for a very lengthy time. I apologize if it seems that I have been overly critical, antagonistic, or unappreciative here in the past. It has been with the best of intentions. It is my fondest wish that the magic continues to live here for you all, who have made these years so special to me. Farewell.

**Nybor's Callous Alarmclock**
Caster Level Wiz/Sorc Level 2
Innate Level: 2
Spell School: Enchantment
Range: Self
Duration: Instantaneous

The sleep timer at the time of casting this spell is reduced by one half for the spellcaster. Negative effects are suffered due to the unnatural alteration of the caster's circadian rhythm based on the amount of time reduced from the sleep timer when waking from the next rest. These effects cannot be removed or reduced except by resting without the benefit of Nybor's Callous Alarmclock, and will continue to stack with multiple applications of Nybor's Callous Alarmclock until resting occurs naturally. If any stat reaches 0 your PC suffers an aneurism on failed fortitude save and dies (You receive +4 to this save if under the influence of coffee). Refer to the chart below.

2+ minutes: Lose 1d4 points from 1d3 random personality stats (cha, int, or wisdom).
1-2 minutes: Lose 1d3 points from 1d2 random personality stats.
>1 minute: Lose 1d2 point from 1 random personality stat.

Note: While under the influence of Nybor's Callous Alarmclock your character is more quick to anger and likely to attribute failings which result from these stat decreases to environmental and interpersonal circumstances rather than the negative effects of the spell.

A very cool and different take on the Royal Inquisitor. Got a lot done in a short period of time and pulled in everyone nearby on the fun, and you portrayed your character legitimately even when doing so was likely to get you FD'd.

Interesting twist on a concept, magnetic and inclusive, and a masochistic commitment to the characterization.
Definitely a RWG character.

Well done old man.

He seemed very entertaining in the few passing moments I got to spy on him while playing Langdon Alger. Never a dull moment, and his rational and arguments for burning everything were always enjoyable. A nice fun character.

Amazing character that spanned such a huge chunk of time. She was immediately a compelling and entertaining character from the start with her bombastic personality and drunken shenanigans the entire server was in love from moment one and I wish I had more of a chance to interact with you back then. As things unfolded she had a meaningful character arch that proved Mairead to be one of EfU:CoR's most dynamic PCs whether by design, IG developments, trying to keep the character entertaining for yourself, or a combination of them all hers was a compelling story to follow where any single moment she could be plucked out and be a uniquely defined version of herself. She was a truly 3-dimensional character that wasn't bogged down in the details of trying to be complex and 3-dimensional and losing the engaging aspects that make a character enjoyable in each moment, which is something I think most players constantly try to achieve but don't always manage to grasp and rarely as well.

As a player even as RL would pull you away for stretches of time both player allies and DMs involved with your character were always willing to come back and pick up where things were left off for the obvious reason that Mairead was a character enjoyable enough to be worth returning to, and sticking around for, and that's something that takes more than a strong and interesting concept. You were the heart of an interesting story, and created a rich engaging character to fill that role in a way that no one else could have. I regret that I wasn't able to interact with her during her more bombastic early days in which most of the playerbase fell in love with the character, but I really enjoyed the small amounts of interaction toward the end which even though they were few were very important to the final days of one of my longer lived characters. If it isn't obvious by the following of characters and the regular interactions from DM NPCs your character was hard not to have enjoyable interactions with, and you should be proud for not only what she accomplished but more for what you accomplished in breathing so much life into Mairead as the author of her character and for the enjoyment you brought and will definitely continue to bring to our game world and our online community.

At the end of the day we're here on EfU for a unique type of fun you only get here that's hard to define, and you've got a talent for providing it. Keep kicking ass, new kid.

Verata was a legend.
We don't get a lot of EtR PCs here in the City of Rings but every one is interesting and quality.
Great work
