Suggestions / Re: Change Ring 98 Key situation
July 30, 2019, 07:20:07 AM

There are already two solo quests that potentially give a key 98 in ring 99.

I have done the two solo quests next to the Ring 98 ringdoor multiple times when I used to dink around on a bunch of alts.

I have never, never, obtained a key before from those two quests; and I have done them at least twenty times.

I hope everyone who attended and participated in the Ticker Tournament had as much of a blast as I did!

Unfortunately, I shall be absent for the coming two or so weeks. Seeya folks then.

Suggestions / Rumour Mill Spawnpoint
June 18, 2019, 01:12:38 AM
The Rumour Mill faction HQ doesn't have a spawnpont for members of the faction. It'd be convenient to have one in the bunks.

Suggestions / Picking up items while Stealthed
June 03, 2019, 03:08:20 AM
Low Priority.

While Hiding/Moving-Silently, a PC that picks up an item from the floor will reveal not only his presence but his name to all who is nearby, even if they could not detect him.

It might help stealthed PCs if that is changed.

As an example, even if my PC Andy Anderson cannot detect PC Bob Billyworth (who is stealthed), if Billy Billyworth picks up something near my PC, this yellow message will appear in my combat log:

'You see Billy Billyworth acquire a thin object.'

Total War Three Kingdoms is out, and I very much would like to enjoy it.

My presence will be diminished and the Rumour Mill updated less for a while until I get it out of my system! ... probably going to try to finish one campaign as Cao Cao, one as Lu Bu, and one as the Yellow Turban before I am done.

>_>

<_<

Selena will, IC-ly, when absent, simply be clocking in some of her accrued leave days. :D

There is a special value and service which players like yourself bring to the server: the general atmosphere of activity in welcoming new players.

Spending time in Ticker Square doing merchant-stuff is tedious and often dull. But, by being around so much, and Ticker Square being partly the 'tutorial area' where new players to the server are funneled into, your presence added an air of lively enthusiasm. Being willing to throw Groats at new players, haggling with them, enticing them into plots, it all increases the chance of introducing the server to them and retaining them in it.

It definitely had a formative influence for my PC in particular, and helped her get drawn into and settled in the overall fabric of the server's plot.

I myself cannot imagine how I can muster the endurance to do something like this, and so, kudos to you, and all merchant PCs in EFU:COR.

Triply awesome that you do all that, which in my opinion is a service and a gift of love to the server by itself, but also pushed plots to the degree you did.

I can but add that thus far, it has been nothing short of an incredible ride. A unique experience for sure, and one that has been challenging, rewarding and fun.

If I can give an advice, it is to start up the ringrunning crew organically. Spend time to find PCs that your PC clicks with, that you enjoy RPing and spending time with. The connections your PC make (and, which you will inevitably make, because OOC scheduling/communication is necessary - nature of the beast) will be the absolute best part. Basically, ringrunning is much, much more fun if you do it with a diverse, disparate group of PCs that are interesting to interact and RP with.

Sometimes, there are bugs, but DMs have been incredibly helpful with personally tending to them and deserve huge kudos for what I imagine is bit of a thankless chore.

I think the curse as it is is in a fine place. Getting to 95 is basically normal and will be even more normal with time. To go beyond that is when a PC has to put in the effort to ask about, and find out more about, and make alliances towards. Much of it is shrouded in mystery, and PCs are reluctant to talk about the Rings beyond.

An excellent PC. Wondrously characterized. Dead too soon.

Such great plots and schemes. Excellent character, and his involvement in the Rakshasa Question was a decisive one.

I think this is a fair buff to Wholeness of Body. It is a level 7 Feat that seems comically useless to the point of making that level almost a dead-level if not for the BAB +1.

I support my colleagues' rude snubbing of Peerage folks.

Force Peers to pay 50 Groats that go straight to my Adamantine Vault account. 8)
