Can I get a YOMAR SWEEP?

Bumping this! Ephia's Well feels oddly quiet at night.

Bug Reports / Eyeball Familiar's PfA
February 05, 2023, 09:27:01 AM
It does not work. It offers no selection for the alignment and when cast doesn't seem to do anything.

I'm really late to seeing this. I apologize for that! I think Nula was one of my favorite PCs yet and I am really glad I got to enjoy her opening up to Ashley about all of the terrible things that have happened to her. She is one of the few people who could have inspired empathy in him, and she did so while also making me, the player, nearly cry. I am so glad you decided to play this PC. I can't wait to see the next!

Suggestions / Re: Nuke The Peerage
September 28, 2022, 07:19:31 AM
Peerage has changed and shifted drastically from what it once was several times. It has shifted towards a preference of general cooperation in the face of existential threats, and when most people play humans for the most part, it is not interesting to attempt to generate conflict around non-humans who don't exist (at least in the roster of characters currently being played). Right now, there's a lot of conflict between the Peerage and their outlying neighbors as you're fairly familiar. I think it is a reluctance to engage in cooperation that has alienated you from participating in wider conflicts (why invite the guy who stabbed you in the back to help you fight necromancers/changelings/recondites?) and thus made it, by your perception, very dull. Were I you, I would make an outlier. App for a goblin, an orc, a lizardfolk, or maybe go ahead and try to become a Bonecollector who acts very openly and rapidly. Hell, make a druid! They're in season it seems, despite losing their druidic circle...

Suggestions / Re: Consecrating Relics
September 27, 2022, 02:54:34 AM
That is not the situation I think most people think clerics are in. It's very difficult for some of us who are on low-pop hours like 4am EST, or can only consistently play on low-pop days. I have been trying to push my clerical agenda (Boneboys can confirm this), have been participating in PvPs and engaging roleplay, and still I am running around with the Broken Relic. I understand that the EFU philosophy is that sometimes you get lucky, but clerics feel like they're in such a bad spot if you're not someone who can be on at 6pm on Friday, or when the server has been up for 30+ hours for Reliquary to spawn.

Suggestions / Re: Make The Reliquary Quest Static
September 27, 2022, 02:50:53 AM
I am bumping this as a player of a cleric who has run Gloomy Goblin Camp five times and still not found a relic of either of my domains. It would be nice if that quest was at least weighted towards a domain of a cleric present in the party, but that sounds complicated and difficult and it'd just be easier to do what this post requests.

In a last-ditch effort to remind myself about what makes EFU great, I have decided I'm going to try to push my own agenda for once with a Ringrunning Crew.

I am making a group for PCs whom will delve into the depths of the Rings with power and bloodshed on their minds, dedicated to what is simply called the Storm. Although not necessarily a religious organization, these individuals will be driven to service to Shani Nefzen, my currently-existing Crimson Storm Sorcerer, either because they believe in the coming of the Storm or they think she will make them rich in the Rings.

The end goal is to take control of the Grey Keep and make it into their home and the place from which the Storm will emerge. From here, we will seek conflict and challenge those who come forth to weather the Storm's might.

The only trouble is my schedule. You must be compatible with the EST hours of 3pm to 6am. Any time within this frame will be a time I can sometimes be on and available, with the first three hours being the only hours that I could possibly guarantee every night.

Alignment: Lawful Good will struggle to see the good in letting Shani take power.
Class: Non-Paladin

I have noticed over the past few days that playing a low level in certain quests can be sometimes lucrative, sometimes pointless. During my testing at lvl 5, I noticed a few strange things. For example...
Mourning Flevas Retainer quest (7):  800 EXP at lvl 5.
Cobbledogs Hideout quest (7): 800 EXP at 5.

Vs.

Trashgulls quest (lvl 8 ): 200 EXP at 5 (and apparently 40 EXP at 8!!!)
Darkskull quest (lvl 8 ): 600 EXP at 5.

I really feel like the server could stand to gain from a standardization of quest EXP rewards. I know lvl 7 quests just got shifted around, but surely there's something that can be done to reduce the disparity here.

Bug Reports / Griffon Mantle's appearance is buggy
July 10, 2021, 09:15:42 AM
It appears Griffon Mantle's appearance.2da section is improperly filled, and has the shoulders being hidden away despite the cloak's type usually having these shown. Easy fix far as I know, just needs an adjustment of a few lines in the appearance.2da.  (https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/603199636039139355/863331222745645066/unknown.png)

Tel Talic was a mysterious character to me for such a long time, and even as Harlon, I still didn't feel like I ever got the whole story with him.  Ultimately, Tel Talic was an extremely fantastic and fascinating character to play with, and leaves me excited to see what you do next.

Well, here it is. My first permadeath PC... Well, technically second if you count the retired Walsam Garnwell, who I did not like playing very much.

Harlon was a seriously great time. My first good attempt at a sorcerer, particularly one who seemed entirely about giving myself tactical advantages instead of stat buffs and high damage. He was a Stalker Sorcerer, but because of the way things just go sometimes, he never did take on the full curse and go down the path of self-loathing that I had planned for him. He was also one of my worse attempts at a dedicated healer. Any time I went into a fight, I asked for ash and medicinal herbs, and wasn't very good at applying either. But, overall, I'm very glad I got to play him. He was an incredible time and I'd love to have one like him again.

Doing some magic during YMD's final event.

His stats. Very basic, but that didn't matter much.

Burying his friend, Frobo Sappel.

Looking upon the Keep for the first time.

Playing chess with Tel Talic in the afterlife while Novia watches.

Thank you all for interacting with Harlon. He was such a good time.
