Screen Shots & Obituaries / Kreil Gotek
March 03, 2011, 06:58:06 PM
This character succeeded to run for around four months. A fair time for this unique concept and henchman that I made.

This all to all was a concept of a most curious Consort, Guardian and Experiment of Qadima, this ever veiled Sahiba and I have much respect for the great concept I was able to play thanks to all that.

This is the first time I actually remembered, and had screenshots properly working for years, and I took loads of them - this is simply because we had a lot of interesting moments and I had to try and cut them to show some of the good and exciting events we went through.

Kreil was an experienced mercenary from the mainland. Born and raised in Tethyr, he was also a victim of Illithid attack in young age and as a failed enslavement his being was ever scarred, and his view on the disorted and perverted. He always had the image of himself as an aberrant, yet his simplicity also reinforced his sense of discipline and he was able to keep it together for years.

In the end he succeeded honing his skills, and also through experiments, he achieved weapon mastery - not in weapons, but tentacles and was fairly succesful in combat and battles.

First and foremost I am thanking Qadima for amazing concept and companion. There wasn't Kreil without her. I also have to thank DM's who allowed us to seek and earn these bizarre things, the whips/tentacles, the grafts, the changes, Alkalurops plot, and for me perhaps one single thing that enforced my concept further, the Illithid Crown aka the helmet Kreil carried - I have to thank Alyssara for that. It was an element that carried long and gave depth to the character.

In this album I put together, there are couple short screenshots of one of many enemies that sought to get the damn crown, and the bloody bastard did it on our way up from Underdark. Imagine the pain of facing even implant enhanced dragon on the Way while having to survive the guardians. It was a pain.

Sorry for the text, and don't complain if the screenshots are poor. I had loads, and I have not yet mastered the art of taking good shots.

For some reason, an animated jungle cat that I corrupted once with speed had extremely poor actions and reaction time to commands.

When I send it to attack enemies with control companion, or used "attack nearest", it just stopped for like 10-15 seconds and only after that waiting period did it start to move and attack enemies.

I don't know why, but it's as if goes through a massive spam of actions before finally reaching the attack function. This made it nearly useless as it's pretty much beaten before it even starts to give strikes back.

Bug Reports / Goblin Zombie - Give weapon bugged
October 09, 2010, 10:23:46 PM
I chose a goblin battleaxe from my inventory and used "drop item" near the zombie and dropped it.

I asked the undead to pick and equip the weapon, and it did pick it up but never equipped it.

At the moment of unsummoning it ate the weapon and vanished with it, never leaving the axe behind.

Bug Reports / Gloom walker not working
October 01, 2010, 02:18:43 PM
It seems, that after taking the perk and logging in again, I am not rolling vs blinding or gaining the penalties.

This is atleast on gobsquat and the alleys between it and the Duchy.

I'll be testing and looking at it still to see if it changes.

Bug Reports / Sparring with Summons and Barbarian
April 02, 2010, 09:02:27 AM
We experienced uncomfortable bug, where summons struck barbarian in rage to winded state, and just in unsummoning, when summon last hit him, he just lost the rage and was killed.

He was in winded state from sparring, and in unsummoning the beast had one hit on him while he lost the rage, and this caused him to die for some reason.

Screen Shots & Obituaries / Lasran Mane - Spiritwarden
January 05, 2010, 01:45:06 PM
QuoteSo then. First time I've bothered to make screenshot thread in 6 years of playing.

Lasran Mane was perhaps my most ambitious concept, which made many succesful endeavours and attempts, but also failed due to his gimped build and my own silly mistakes, many times.

His story was a story of fear. Fear for death and his journey to overcome it, not by fighting it, but by cheating it, this is also how he became a spiritwarden.

Lasran was a full wizard/pale master that never had any fighter levels. He had armor and weapon feats to portrait his life as a curious explorer and student, who trained but never passionately pushed through. His concept was one of persuading and taking advantage of different situations.

My only regret is that the two real mistakes I made, were also the ones that caused my downfall. Next time I'm sure to pick it up and learn from it. This was my most enjoyable concept so far.

This is where he started his way, by invading the realm of previous Spiritwarden.

And here he took advantage of the prisoners of her plane, and turned them against her to overtake this position.

Lasrans first experiments, and hist most succesfull trophy was when he used the situation Zhong was in and persuaded him to submit in his plan, by offering him a different way for his own goal.

Watching the aftermaths of the vengeful Spirit of Yong

My most memorable times were as I fought to learn what Lasran had become. The status of Spiritwarden was something that you do not know or learn just by being it. It is something more.

Sometimes my quest lead me in places I did not necessarily wanna be. On other times, spirits summoned the Spiritwarden to come and aid them.

And on other occasion, you had to face yourself to find out what you are made of.

The last stand to see which of myself is stronger. The ideal or the will to overcome it.

These few are some of the key moments I remember always. Some others I do not wish to reveal at the public, because they give out some IC information that isn't for yours to know if you don't fight for it >_>.

And here are the two most important items that defined Lasran.

The armor of the Spiritwarden.

The sword that shreds and feeds from spirits and undead. I may end up putting statistic up as well at some point, but for now I won't.

Many thanks for the opportunity, especially to Talir for aiding me to walk through his story.

And not to forget, his Caliphar and buddy, Isidore.

I am bugged to hell atm.

Today just 10 mins before this post, I wasted gold to try get barkskin from Mother Oggla (correct if the name is wrong), 150g, three attempts.

I gained no buff even when she casted it.

I then tried to drink cats grace. Nothing. I was casted to buff, I drank lots of potions, except healings and nothing worked on me. Not even invisibility.

I have no idea why this has happened, but it's quite troublesome. I can't do anything.
