My movement speed is slightly less than other people, like maybe 90%? Character is Jawl Highwind, player name Forum 121.

lovethesuit

This is still happening after resets and relogging.

Met a druid. It was a worg, and it totally moved at my speed. That is, uniquely slow. Weird.

Listen in Silence

This was in a wilderness area, too.

Maybe you didnt take into account the fact that you were comparing to a party of 8+ barbarians ? >.>

lovethesuit

No, I am comparing to regular people. The barbarians were even faster. And it is, for me at least, in all areas.

So it's been almost a week, my character dropped 10 pounds and is in much better shape. I'm still having this movement speed issue. Someone said it might be related to a polymorph bug; could this be true?

Porkolt

I actually got something similar to this yesterday.

I got in some kind of AoE spell (no idea which, it looked like tangle and did acid damage), and the movement speed was decreased to like 80% or something, it only went away after resting.

BoomdaddyBP

Porkolt, your situation is not a bug. The spell is meant to do that.

Drakill Tannan

That's called spike growth, and gives anyone who enters it a 20% movement speed penalty + 1d4 damage per round. Also the effect lasts for one hour per level, so it takes a while to recover your speed, or enough to rest, that is.

I can attest to this happening. My halfling character Juniper Strides, in a recent trip past the desert, etc, was encumbered most of the way (lightly encumbered not heavily) and thus was reduced to walking speed.

I in fact did notice that I was able to pass Jawl while she also was moving at a walks pace. I thought it was weird, but wasn't sure if it was intentional.

I now see that it wasn't.
