Clerics: Scrying At An Earlier Level

I think Scrying should be given to clerics at an earlier level, as a L5 spell, and clerics with relevant domains such as Knowledge having access to it at the same level as wizards (L4 spell).

Keeper of the White Wyrm

A 'divination' domain would be amazing. Deities like Savras and Oghma would benefit greatly.

Identify, See Invis, ESP, and Scrying/arcane eye at 7th circle.

We won't be seeing many of these clerics to begin with, anyways, seeing as Planning domain is obviously one of the strongest domains, yet we see few helmite clerics!

Clerics are strong enough. But i suppose clerics of sarvass or Oghma having a domain that gave them scrying as a level 4 or 5 spell would be fine.. 5 i say.

Do a divining cleric and hope that the DMs take pity upon your character and give you it. (I am playing a cleric diviner right now)

EDIT: Planning Domain covers most divinations and adds extend spell

[facetious]While we're at it, Clerics also need Magic Missile, Blur and all other arcane spells available by Domains[/facetious]

Remember a Cleric sacrifices far less to have good scrying. A Wizard really needs to specialise in Divination, meaning no Illusion for defence. A sorc has to use it as their only spell at L8. A Cleric can simply take GSF Div. L5 for Knowledge domain deities only wouldn't be bad, anything else would be horribly OP. Could be implemented with a custom EfU Knowledge domain you could take instead of the normal one, that gave you Scrying.

Horriby OP...alright.

I am of the opinion only Savras and Oghma clerics should get Scrying, if any. I am strongly opposed to them getting it any sooner - clerics are already easily much more powerful on paper than wizards/sorcs. Basically, what Egon said.

No more than a cleric. A transmuter for example can have GSF divination and the ONLY thing he will NOT get is the 5/+1 dr on C/C. A cleric would have to take the same feats to get the extended durations. Wizards have it easier in that they get bonus caster feats every 5 levels also.

I suggest that if you really devote yourself to it and work IG towards such things and eventually be bestowed such powers by your god. Good clerics can work for it.
Take GSF Divination, have a diety that would use AA/Scrying, and devote yourself.

Yeah you can get things similar from domains already. AKA Magic and Spell domain....
