Remove Curse wrt Withering

Could the power of the spell Remove Curse to reduce a PC's Withering count be increased?

From my (anecdotal) experience, it seems to have been either nerfed or the power of the Withering has increased. But given the steep XP cost (or GP cost from NPCs), I think it could reduce the Withering a bit more.

From a gameplay perspective, too, it would be nice if going outside the Veil wasn't so punishing!

just imagin if you spend 99% of your time outside the lovely protection of the town area :P

a good goal to work tword IG might be weakening the withering...

also it seems rather effective as it is atleast to me, the spell

I think it's a fair balance right now. It used to be stronger, back when it cost 200 xp to remove. It is back to 150 to remove and I think it's pretty fair.

From playing my priest I honestly think it's still a bit weak. I understand that there are arrangements and the withering is to be feared, combated, etc. However that is accomplished by both the fate of the withering and how people treat those withered.

Miracles from the gods should be something people revere and respect. Perhaps maybe add in the Clerical Symbol the means to strengthen the withering reduction while Wizards/bards remain standard?

I definitely do understand this, but I think there's a fine line between the Withering being a "consideration" and an "excuse," meaning... the average PC should be willing to leave the Veil despite the Withering if there's a good reason.

That said, I didn't realize the XP cost was down from 200, so I guess this is another of my suggestions where the DM team is out ahead of me.

Probably because you're a low level doof, when you get higher level , it's pretty good.
